Midwood Cottage and Midwood Lodge are two holiday homes which are attached and can be booked separately or together.

The Cottage comfortably sleeps 2 adults and the Lodge sleeps 5 adults, however each property has a sofa bed in which one or two little ones can sleep.

The four star gold rated properties can be taken together to sleep 7 adults, and there's still some extra space for younger ones. Children will love the fantastic tree house and swings in the garden. The garden is huge and very private with 2 separate patio areas and views towards the River Aln.. There is parking for 4 vehicles too which is rare in the village. We also have Family Friendly status.

If you like holiday cottages by the sea and luxury self-catering then you have found the perfect retreat. The beautiful sandy beach is just 5 minutes walk away and the area has been designated as an area of 'Outstanding Natural Beauty'. There is a little marina in the estuary which is lovely. It is just 2 minutes walk from pubs, restaurants and shops in the village centre.

Midwood Cottage is newly refurbished. It has a large king size bed with en-suite shower-room. There is a gorgeous lounge-diner and a modern fully fitted kitchen area.

The Cottage has been completely refurbished and has a fully equipped kitchen with a washer/dryer and dishwasher. There is a gorgeous lounge-diner and a modern fully fitted kitchen area. The sofa converts in to a sofa bed. The bed is king size and has a shower-room en-suite. There is a baby high chair and a travel cot available.

Northern England region

Northumberland is famous for the many stunning castles in the region, Alnwick Castle, Warkworth Castle, Bamburgh Castle, and Lindisfarne Castle are all within 5 - 10 miles of the cottage.

The region has stunning unspoilt beaches, including Alnmouth, Embleton, Newton by the Sea and many more. Within the village there is a golf course, there is fishing locally, cycle routes and walks for ramblers.

The property is a 5 minute walk to the beautiful unspoilt beach at Alnmouth and 2 minutes walk to lovely family friendly pubs and shops in the little village.

Alnwick

Alnmouth is a peaceful and relaxing village by the sea on the Northumberland coastline. It has stunning, unspoilt beaches and is the ancient sea port for the historical town of Alnwick which is 4 miles away. The medieval castle in Alnwick was featured as 'Hogwarts' in the recent Harry Potter movies. Whilst Alnwick Gardens is one of the most exciting contemporary gardens in the world. The Northmberland Heritage Coastline has been designated an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' and offers fantastic coastal walking.
