A hidden gem. This Eco retreat boasts a fantastic location next to an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and within a World Heritage Site. Only 500 metres from the beautiful southwest coast-path, and a lovely little cove. Ideal for those wishing to relax, unwind and rejuvenate. The charming north Cornish coast village of St.Agnes is a 5 minute drive away, or for the more energetic, a great 25 minute walk along the southwest coast-path, with superb views of the sea and cliffs. The village has all the facilities needed to enjoy your stay, with a handful of great pubs and top class restaurants specialising in locally sourced food. There is plenty of art galleries, craft shops and even a small museum.

Set within its own paddock, it is immersed in nature and overlooks a paddock which houses 2 resident pygmy goats. It has a small stream running along its border. The south facing decking is kitted out with rustic outdoor seating and tables on which to enjoy your al fresco dining. A small wild flower lawn also boasts a fire pit which can be used as a b-b-q on summer nights.

The interior is fresh and stylishly furnished with up cycled tables and chairs. The whole ambience is peaceful, calm and easy on the eye. Whilst there is a feeling of simplicity and luxury the charm of its setting speaks for itself.

The Oldgoathouse is ideal for those who either want to escape to relax or who wish to take advantage of the fantastic natural landscape and seek out more activity in the form of walking, kayaking, surfing or cycling.

The West Country region

Cornwall is in the far southwest of the UK., about a 5 hour drive from London. Due to its south westerly position, Cornwall boasts the mildest temperatures anywhere in the country. This is a region not only famous for its natural beauty and beaches, but steeped in history, from Iron-Age to New -Age.

Relics of our past tin mining days are spotted everywhere.

We are blessed with some lovely coastal towns, all within an hours drive, these include St.Ives, Penzance, Falmouth and Padstow.

The Eden project is 28 miles from St.Agnes.

Come enjoy!

St Agnes

St.Agnes is situated on the North Cornish coast, nestled between St.Ives and Newquay. It is surrounded by Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and World Heritage sites.

we have some fantastic beaches, world class scenery and great natural beauty right on our doorstep.

There is a great surfing scene to be enjoyed locally, with surf to suit all abilities, from wannabe pro to absolute beginners. Lessons are available. We will advise you where and when to go to score the best waves.

For keen walkers, we are only 500metres from the Southwest coast-path, with jaw dropping views and cliff top splendour. These high cliff top walks make great seal, dolphin and basking shark spotting in the summer months. Don't forget your binoculars.

For avid bird watchers, we have an abundance of cliff dwelling and sea-shore species. You may even spot a rare visitor to our shores.

Peregrine falcons are amongst the regulars.

Sea kayaking tours can also be enjoyed, hosted by a local company, who provide tuition and wet-suits. Spot the beauty from sea-level,

passing along the base of 200ft high cliffs, and amongst hidden coves and natural sea-caves.

For cyclists, we have some great back roads, from flat to hilly, and just about everything in-between. Lands End is 40 miles away.

Of course you can just relax and enjoy the scenery.
