La Casita, is an absolutely delightful, light and airy one bedroom ground floor apartment, with a great large private terrace from which you can enjoy the " Al Fresco " lifestyle. Surrounded by both mountain and sea views, it's very peaceful location on Capistrano Village makes it ideal for couples , mature people or families who want to relax, yet when you want, enjoy the great pool and other facilities within only a one minute walk. All our clients love the LARGE, terracota tiled patio where you can sunbathe privately and as 90% of your time will be spent out doors here .... why not book this, which has a much bigger terrace than the standard Capistrano size Courtyard terraces to maximise your amount of sun . For the smaller amount of time spent inside, it is nicely decorated and has all the modern conveniences you need including a large satellite flat screen TV...... making a truly fantastic holiday ! !

ABOUT OUR HOME

Recently available for rent , La Casita has a wonderful large patio when you enter, measuring 10m x 4 m , it offers you a choice of sun or shade depending on your mood and current state of tan ! It is a lovely, quiet place to relax with nice Mediterranean plants, whether you're sitting down at the table for that first morning coffee or wanting to soak up some sun on the 2 full size sun beds. From the privacy inside you have nice views to the mountains or alternatively you can move to the adjacent garden area with views to the sea. Unlike a lot of properties the patio size offers you many hours of sunshine and with only a neighbour to one side you can enjoy tranquillity, then when you choose, take the 77 paces / 1 minute walk to cool off in the big pool. If you don't wish to cook that day you can have a snack at the pool bar or visit one of several good restaurants within 5 mins walk; There is a traditional brick built barbeque for use on those balmy summer evenings . Entering the open plan lounge / fully fitted kitchen there is plenty of space to chill either watching the large satellite TV with Sky etc. or read a book on the sofa bed. Being on the ground floor the apartment stays cool and never gets too hot. To the rear, is a cool double bedroom with a double bed, chest of draws and double wardrobe. There is good car parking provision or bus stop just below us within a 1 minute walk . There is a general store on the development or Super Sol and Mercadona supermarket within a 5 min walk. Overall a great place inside and out , great location equals great holiday so book early to avoid disappointment !!!!!!!!

Never having been to Nerja before, I was eager to visit, as many friends and family had been there. We couldn't have chosen a better location. The apartment is a good size with one bedroom and the large private terrace out front adds enormously to the space. The terrace is perfect. It had a good mix of both sun and... more

“Perfect Escape!”

Reviewed 2 January 2014 for a stay in November 2013

Well now that Christmas and New Year are out of the way I finally have time to write a review about La Casita. My husband and I stayed here from the 18th November to 9th December, 2013. The apartment is small and in my opinion suitable for a couple or single person. The kitchen area could do with being modernised... more

“Beautiful, peaceful and well equipped.”

Having been to Nerja before, I was eager to return. I couldn't have chosen a better rental. We came with our three children aged 7, 10 and 2. The apartment is fairly small with only one bedroom but the large private terrace out front meant that the size of the apartment itself really didn't matter. It is brilliantly located, so... more

“A perfect base for some great walks in the mountains!”

Reviewed 18 May 2013 for a stay in May 2013

I booked La Casita in Nerja through Holiday Lettings a few weeks before going - all went smoothly and sorted quickly by email. The property is reflected well by the photos and the description given, and was as expected. The kitchen has pretty much everything we needed for our 10 night stay. Although we didn't cook any evening meals, we... more

“Small but perfectly formed”

As I sit here in mouldy mildewed Brighton, during the most miserable summer I can remember, I cast my mind back to the peaceful lazy days of early June spent at the front of 'La Casita'. I say the front, as the weather was wonderful and there was little reason to be indoors. I travel alone these days, and tend... more

The Andalucia region

The Costa del Sol region

The Costa del Sol is famous for its climate and has lots of sunny days. The Nerja area at the eastern end of the Costa is protected from adverse weather by the Alpuharra mountains. It is ideally suitable for couples with small children and mature couples, also people who enjoy relaxing beach days and walks in the countryside. The spectacular Caves of Maro, a five minute car ride from Nerja, are the second most visited tourist destination in Spain. The weather is mild for most of the year and very warm in July/August.

Nearby is the famous Pueblo Blanco (white village) of Frigiliana and a little further away, Competa. Nerja is an ideal base from which you can visit Granada and the Alhambra Palace, Malaga city and Seville. A short drive away you can ski in the Sierra Nevada mountains. The world famous Caves of Nerja are a 5 minute taxi ride, or a pleasant 20 minute walk. The Caves are the second most visited tourist attraction in Spain.

Nerja is well situated for beach and walking holidays and is an ideal base for visiting places like Granada and the Alhambra Palace, Seville and Malaga city. Skiing is just a 90 minute drive to the ski resorts of the Sierra Nevada mountains.

There are many festivals throughout the year, most famously is the festival of San Isidro which is celebrated every 15th May with a large procession through the town, led by an Oxon, which makes its way up to the Caves at Maro where a celebration takes place throughout the evening. A sight not to be missed!

Nerja, " the gem of the Spanish Med " is a truly lovely town with a fantastic all year round tropical climate, located between the mountain range Sierra Almijara and the Mediterranean sea, is famous for its beaches where all major water sports are available, including water skiing, scuba diving and sailing. With an interesting mix of Spanish and Foreigners, the old quarter of the town is still virtually unchanged with narrow, winding streets and whitewashed houses.

At the heart of Nerja is the spectacular Balcony de Europe, the "Balcony of Europe", a magnificent place with stunning views of the Mediterranean and picturesque beach coves. There are oceans of traditional or international restaurants and cafes to enjoy, and the visitor can hire a horse-drawn carriage to explore the most romantic corner of the town.

Nerja's most spectacular and popular attraction is undoubtedly its fascinating caves, located just two kilometres from Capistrano pueblo. Furthermore, one of the enormous natural caverns has been transformed into a concert hall, where many performances are staged during the summer. It is a fantastic area for walkers with beach or countryside options. Frigiliana,15 minutes drive from Nerja, is one of Andalusia's most picturesque hill top villages. From here there are wonderful views over the surrounding valleys and out to the coast.

For Golfers, to the east, just half an hour away, there is a 9-hole course in Salobrena and 20 minutes west, just off the motorway, is a good course at Baviera Golf.

For Skiers there is the massive and beautiful Sierra Nevada lines Granada's horizon to the south and is often snow capped , even in summer. You can go off in the morning to ski in the winter months then come back to the higher temp of Nerja.

Good bus service to Malaga and other coast resorts .
