Kingsgate Bay and Joss Bay are only a five minute drive or leisurely 15 minute walk along the delightful Stone Road in which the property is situated. You can walk in either direction from Stone bay to Margate or Ramsgate. (check the tide times)
Broadstairs,commonly recognized as "The jewel in Thanet's crown" is unique, quaint and charming. A seaside town with lots of history and natural beauty. Quality cafes, restaurants and local shops surround its beautiful , clean beaches. There is also a surf school on Joss bay.
The Viking Coastal trail is a fabulous cycle route from Minnis Bay to Pegwell Bay. Bikes can easily be hired and you can either opt for a day of cycling or a shorter ride along the coast.
Westwood Cross shopping centre is only a 5 minute drive from the center of Broadstairs. It offers great shopping with Topshop, Marks and Spencer, TK Max, HMV, Debenhams, Waterstones to name a few as well as family style restaurants such as Ask, Frankie and Bennys and Nandos. There's also a large Vue multiplex cinema, casino and bingo complex.
Broadstairs itself boasts a tiny , Victorian cinema 'The Palace' which is extremely good value , showing the latest releases.
For the more mature holidaymaker, there are numerous walks and day trips in and around the area.
