July and August temperatures go up to 35 degrees, but in the countryside there is always a light breeze and a swim in the river after a day's touring or activity is always a delight. Wine harvest starts anytime from the mid August to end of September and there will be tractors on the roads from first light taking trailers of grapes to the cave co operative. The tractors start whirring early.
Note: French children school holidays July and August.
September days are much cooler, bright blue skies and warm. Evenings getting chilly.
