The cottages now combine modern equipment and furnishings with many interesting and attractive, original features including stone walls and exposed oak beams. Each has its own terrace/patio area, barbecue and garden furniture. The large 1.5 hectare gardens are mainly lawned and provide an ideal place for children to play. The facilities available include a heated swimming pool (13 x 6.5m), table tennis, children’s swings, a gym (with exercise bike, rowing machine, bench and weights), with bicycles available for hire locally and delivered on site. There is also a shared laundry room and a TV room with a large selection of videos and a darts board. For golf enthusiasts, one of the region’s most popular golf courses is only 4km away. The immediate surrounding area consists mainly of farmland, woodland and the beautiful countryside for which the Dordogne is famous. Despite this you do not have to travel far to visit many of the region’s most popular places. The Bastide of Eymet, the market town of Ste-Foy La Grande and the château of Duras are all within 15km. Bergerac and its many famous wine producing châteaux and old port is approximately 15km. A little further east are the many attractions of the Dordogne Valley. The medieval town of Sarlat, the Châteaux of Baynac and Castelnaud, the Bastide of Domme and La Roque Gageac are all within 100km. Bordeaux and the Atlantic Coast make great day out.

The Aquitaine/Dordogne region

You do not have to travel far to visit many of the region’s most popular places. The Bastide of Eymet, the market town of Ste-Foy La Grande and the château of Duras are all within 15km. Sainte Foy-la-Grande

The area boasts many evening markets to eat/drink the locally produced products, with craft stalls to complement the regions markets. Sainte Foy la Grande's market being one of France's best.

There are Jousting and Medieval tournaments throughout the season coupled with the regions wine festivals.

The open countryside makes it a walkers' paradise, with cycling on the quiet roads a joy.

We are just 4km from one of France's top golf courses "Château des Vigiers".

There are many rivers and lakes to cater for all fisherman. Canoeing is available all along the Dordogne (downstream!!!!)
