Broadstairs

Broadstairs is a lovely English seaside town with something for everyone. It's a very popular location full of old fashioned seaside charm. Punch and Judy and ice-cream on the beach? We've got it. Music ? If you love traditional music you'll love Folk Week. Be warned though, Folk Week is incredibly popular and has a well deserved national and international reputation so if you'd like to check it out be quick as holiday rentals for that period get booked up quickly. For more contemporary music what about Lounge on the Farm for a festival vibe and some serious music in the sun.

If you've always fancied swishing around in a crinoline or prancing about in some pantaloons then Broadstairs Dickens Festival is just the thing for you ..Ooh Mr Peckersmythe is that padding in your pantaloons or does our meeting bring you great pleasure sire !'

If you want to find out more about Broadstairs or Thanet generally and you love local history you should pay a visit to Michael's Bookshop in Ramsgate. It's local history section is a little treasure trove of information. Close by are nature reserves, the Viking cycle path, crazy golf and golf courses such as Royal St. Georges Open Championship golf course in Sandwich.
