Topsy is available for a 3 night weekend break starting on a Friday and ending on a Monday, a 4 night midweek break, starting Monday and ending Friday and a full week break starting on a Friday and ending on a Friday. Please enquire about short break prices. You can opt to take her cruising or to stay on her at her mooring at Bath Marina.

Please note that Topsy will only be available for static hire, on her picturesque permanent mooring at Bath Marina between the dates of 1st November 2014 and 6th March 2015.

Topsy is our spacious and luxurious 55ft wide beam canal boat. She's wider than a narrow boat, which makes your stay more like a home from home. The spacious salon houses a comfortable sofa which turn into a double bed. There's a fold down table and chairs so that you can have your dinner in style. A multi-fuel stove heats the boat so it's nice and toasty. It also heats the central heating - radiators throughout the boat. The main living area is bright and airy with hatches on both sides that you can leave open and let the sun pour into the boat. There is a large flat screen tv in the salon and a smart box with wi-fi, so when there's a signal you have every channel you could wish for.

Each of the cabins have a double bed with luxurious pocket sprung mattress. The bedding is crisp Egyptian cotton and the pillows and duvets, hypo allergenic luxurious silk. Each bedroom has ample storage with a good range of wardrobes and drawers.

In the stylish bathroom you'll find a full-size bath with jacuzzi and an overhead shower.

In the kitchen you'll find everything you need, to do as much or as little as you want There's an under counter fridge, state of the art washing machine and full size gas cooker. If you want fresh coffee there's a coffee machine - you can even make your own cappuccino.

Booking can be made for a week, Friday to Friday or for a short break Friday to Monday or from Monday to Friday.

The West Country region

The historic World Heritage City of Bath is a stunning place for a holiday, steeped in history, surrounded by beautiful countryside. Topsy is moored in Bath marina, on the Kennet and Avon Canal. which is just over a mile from Bath City Centre and about 10 miles from Bristol.

You could drop into town for a visit to the Romans Baths opt for BathThermal spa, the new Spa overlooking Bath's magnificent Abbey. You can float in the naturally warm water and watch the sun go down.

On the boat you can choose to stay in the marina and sight see around the area or cruise the Kennet and Avon, moving off from the marina onto the river and up on the canal through the picturesque city centre and out the other side into the pretty and ever changing countryside, through the market towns and villages along the canal banks, Bathampton, Bradford on Avon, Devizes.

Or choose a very different place to stay, on the water in a luxurious boat for your self catering break.

Bath hosts some great festivals throughout the year, with the Fashion Fair at the beginning of May, followed by the International Music Fair, then the Literary Festival. Bristol too is full of festivals, with the Festival of the Sea, The Harbour Festival, the Balloon Festival. It's a hive of activity.

It's a great part of England to explore.
