The magical island of Gozo is one of the most unique islands in the Mediterranean.
It is an all year round destination, ideal for a beach holiday, diving experiences, spa vacations or just a serene winter getaway. Its beaches are spread around the whole island, with Ramla Bay being one of the longest beaches. It is situated along Nadur coast. Its fine red sand and natural surroundings make it one of the most exotic beaches in Gozo.
The climate is generally quite comfortable and pleasant all year round. The heat normally reaches its peak in July and August where it could reach 35 degrees centigrade. January to February are the coldest months sometimes reaching 6 degrees centigrade.
As most other villages in Gozo, one can find the main square around the parish church. This is an interesting spot as it is a place where you can easily find coffee shops and restaurants and also food stores and other shops of interest.
Nadur is famous for its traditional carnival. Celebrations start five days preceding Ash Wednesday.
It is a spontaneous feast, where one never knows what to expect. Many competitions are held in these days, including pole climbing, otherwise known as the traditional 'Kukkanja'
Another important feast is known locally as 'L-Imnarja' . This is the religious feast of St.Peter and St.Paul. Its held on the 29th of June, and normally lasts for about a week.
