Set in beautiful countryside, this charming, peaceful village is a great place to hide away if you want some well-earned peace and quiet. This little gem of a location is ideally placed for exploring the Jurassic Coast – full of fossil-packed beaches such as Sidmouth and Seaton – the cathedral city of Exeter and the fabulous landscapes that Exmoor has to offer, all a mere twenty-three miles away. Exeter itself possesses a great shopping centre with a wide range of top-brand names, many restaurants and a wonderful museum. Also within easy reach are some more active pastimes in the form or Crealy Adventure Park and Dunkeswell Go Karting, making Dunkeswell a great base for exploring the wider area, whatever your interests.
