Bellingham is set on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. Its an Idyllic area for a variety of activities including riding, water sports, walking, hiking and fishing. The Old Chapel is directly opposite an 18 hole Golf course. A comprehensive variety of restaurants abound in the area , and the world famous nightlife of Newcastle upon Tyne is a 45 minute drive away.
Harry Potters school castle 'Hogwarts' is an hours drive. Ruined castles mingle with occupied stately homes. Keilder Forest is the largest Man made forest in Europe, and the reservoir is also the largest. Keilder forest has hundreds of specially created cycle paths. The area is hugely popular with holiday makers wanting more from their holidays. For the children there is the excitement of exploring Roman settlements and walking along the world famous Hadrian s wall. For adults there is a great variety of musical events, fabulous real ales and some local restaurants serve the most delicious locally sourced foods.
