The world heritage town of Caernarfon is just 2km away. Llanberis with it's country park, lakeside railway, 'electric mountain' museum and National State Museum is 15 minutes away by car. Snowdon, the railway and popular walking path up the highest mountain in Wales also starts in Llanberis and various other walks begin from here. The isle of Anglesey, with it's sandy beaches, sea aquarium and Beaumaris castle is just 20 minutes by car. Lleyn pernisula, beautiful sandy beaches at Black Rock sands and Abersoch to name but two.
