We have two Gites on opposite sides of a pretty courtyard. They are named after our Grandchildren and just like them they have completely different personalities. If you would like to view them both then our second advert is 2 Gites and a Hot Tub (2). Also if you would like to rent both Gites we can offer a discount.
Libby and Joshua Gites are separated by shrubs, an old Cider Press and the Hot Tub Area. They are located in a very tranquil area surrounded by forest and farm land, yet only a few minutes drive from the beautiful Lac de Guerledan with its man made beaches, pedalos and boat rides.
Libby is a larger more traditional one bedroom gite with oil central heating and an open fire should it be needed. The well equipped kitchen comes with a full gas cooker, fridge and microwave. The dining area has a round pine table with 4 chairs and the cosy sitting room area has 2 two seater settees, an open fire, English satellite TV, DVD and CD player. A selection of DVDs and CDs are available and Wi-Fi is also accessible. There is also a well stocked bookcase and a selection of games.
As Libby is a large Gite there is a "Z" bed in the sitting room if needed
The en-suite double bedroom has a fitted wardrobe and the large en-suite shower room also comes equipped with a washing machine. There is a cot, high chair and buggy available at no additional charge.
Outside there is a private seating area with garden furniture and its own BBQ and a gated entrance to the Hot Tub. We also provide plastic glasses for the Hot Tub area.
This area is perfect for walking and cycling breaks but we are also within easy drives of stunning beaches and beautiful towns.

Brittany is famous for its wealth of stunning scenery, mild climate and amazing seafood. As the gites are within a few miles of the Lac de Guerledan which is probably the largest lake in Brittany we are also able to offer endless walks, safe cycle paths and beautiful views. The wildlife here is excellent. red squirrels, wild boar, buzzards, woodpeckers and kingfishers abound.
What attracts many people are the quiet roads here in Brittany whether you prefer the rambling roads through the typical French villages or the excellent main trunk roads that are fast and efficient you will rarely find a queue or a traffic jam or a delay. Just relaxing drives to the north or south coast which are both about 4o miles from the gites. There are chateaus and markets in most towns. The markets are very well supported by the local residents and visitors alike and sell all you need to cook a beautiful fresh meal here in Brittany..
St Aignan is a "Ville Fleuri" with a very beautiful church and has its own Electricity Museum. Flowing through the village is the River Blavet and Nantes Brest Canal. Perfect for walking, cycling and fishing. There is a shop in St Aignan and creperie and in Mur de Bretagne, 4 kms away, there is a supermarket, petrol station, banks and a selection of shops and restaurants. It also has a lively evening market every Friday during the summer months often with traditional Breton music and dance.
All leisure activities are catered for locally. Lac de Guerledan has small beaches dotted around it, pedalos and speed boats are available for hire on the lake or take a more leisurely cruise on one of the tour boats. Around the Lake and the surrounding areas there are walks and cycle tracks of varying degrees of difficulty. Quad bikes can also be hired. Just 10kms from the Gites is the Abbey of Bon Repos famous for its Son et Lumiere which takes place in August every year using the magnificant Abbey as a back cloth. The Abbey is being restored and you can visit the museum. There are also bars and restaurants that have live music on Sundays. There is also a Sunday market selling local produce.
We are 12kms from the medieval town of Pontivy with its wide range of supermarkets, shops and restaurants and the historic Château de Rohan.
Pontivy has a market every Monday and there are markets throughout the region.
