The Arch Apartment so called for its many splendid medieval arches is on the first floor of our 13th century house and has two bedrooms. The Master bedroom (kingsize), so called after the beautiful 3 metre high double Venetian arched window at the foot of the bed, is a light and airy room with a handmade vanity unit and large Italian shower. With views down on to the quite street, you will really feel part of this award winning French village.
The garden bedroom, so called for its lovely views over the walled garden from the Juliet balcony, is a large fresh room with twin beds (can be made into a double) and has a unique modern en-suite shower room situated through yet another stone arch. There is a separate WC.
The majestic Venetian window central to the lounge/diner allows the sunlight to flood the room and the window seat beneath adds character but also invites languid afternoons of reading. The fully equipped bespoke reclaimed French oak fitted kitchen adds to the charm of this apartment.
The apartment includes access to the garden. The garden contains 3 BBQ areas, 5 terraces, a grassy lawn, pétanque area and to top it all off a solar heated swimming pool with decked area. All of this is nestled within the original medieval stonewalls of our courtyard. Apartment fully air-conditioned.
The Arch Apartment has all you need for modern living twinned with the medieval and historic features, including original oak beams and doors, beautiful wine vat frames and handmade floor tiles. All lovingly restored in this light and airy apartment. The Arch is sure to enhance your stay in our little piece of paradise.

With consistent temperatures in the mid 20's from May to September this part of Southern France has something to offer everyone, with its colourful landscape which changes dramatically through the seasons.
Lagrasse is a great base for exploring local history and architecture - with Narbonne's fine medieval buildings and Roman beginnings, the great medieval walled Cité of Carcassonne, Cistercian Abbeys, Cathar Castles from the Albigensian crusades of the early 13th century on hilltops everywhere, fortified cathedrals at Beziers and Capestang and the exciting cosmopolitan southern cities of Toulouse, Montpellier, Perpignan and Albi - all these are within easy reach.
The village has something for everyone - bars, restaurants, local artisan shops, boulangerie & once a month in the summer, the local 'brocante'. Live bands play in the 8th century Abbey, classical concerts in the church & a world famous music festival during July, all lively & fun, a typically French atmosphere is guaranteed!
Village facilities include tennis courts, football & boules pitches only 2 minutes walk away. Activities to occupy the more sporty include sailing and windsurfing, approximately a 30 minute drive away. Skiing is 2 hours away too. For those wanting a truly relaxing French village experience there is the pretty beach on the Orbieu river which is only a stones throw away from the gite through the cobbled streets. Superb fishing is also found on this river & with the Canal de Midi close by, tranquil boat trips are a must. The local market in the village offers superb local product every Saturday.
Other activities in and around the area include ~ guided tours, painting, pottery, shopping, wine & honey tasting, shooting, boules, football, boating, canoeing, rock climbing, canyoning & relaxing,
