Visitors can explore the great outdoors: canoeing and kayaking in the rivers Orb and the Cesse are very popular. Cycles are available for hire locally. The Gorge d'Héric offers fabulous mountain walks of all grades and guided climbing and abseiling tours are available. Canoes, wind-sailing and other activities are to be found at the Lac du Salagou Base de Plein Air.
All the local villages have weekly markets but Pézenas is the cultural centre, just a short drive away, offering a wide range of cultural activities and entertainment.
Explore the mountains, the sea, the domaines, the towns and villages; there is just so much to do here whether your interests lie in wine-tasting, great food, looking for property to make your own piece of paradise or just unwinding by exploring the great outdoors. When you have done all that, join in with the locals for a game of petanque!
Close to Puissalicon is Pézenas, is a cultural centre of the area and just half an hour away by car.
