Review submitted by Elaine from London- (Submitted: 17/08/2014)

''Property was excellent; clean, well equipped and spacious. Pool was a very good size and the pool furniture was of good quality. Lots of room for the 8 of us to spread out around the pool and house. Location was excellent – close to good beaches at Coral Bay, antiquities in and around Paphos plus access to Akamas Peninsular and Latchi and Polis on the north coast. Recommend Correlia Beach, a walk up the Akamas Gorge followed by lunch at the Viklari, The Last Castle Restaurant; a full day boat trip from Latchi harbour along the Akamas Peninsular aboard the Nafiska 11. Very satisfied with your service, – arrangements were superb. Alexander was friendly and helpful locally. We enjoyed a wonderful holiday in Cyprus – many thanks for all the arrangements – everything was great from the moment we arrived at the airport – with two people to meet us – one for taxi and one for car hire.''

The Paphos region

Birthplace of Aphrodite and in Roman times the capital of Cyprus, Paphos is one of the most beautiful and ancient towns of Cyprus and is situated on the southwest coast. Sheltered from the north by the Troodos Mountains, it has the healthiest climate in the Mediterranean. Paphos Harbour with it's ancient castle, marine and water sports centres, is lined with colourful restaurants serving fresh fish and marine delicacies. Nearby are archaeological sites, rich with antiquities, providing an interest away from the usual - in fact UNESCO has included Paphos on it's World Cultural Heritage List.

St George

In walking distance of the villa are around 6 traditional tavernas serving BBQ'd meat and local dishes of the highest quality. You are only a 5-7 minute drive from Coral Bay, Peyia village and 20 minutes into Paphos town. Easy access can be gained to the beautifully traditional village of Kathikas and you can also easily reach Polis and Latchi on the other side.

As previously mentioned, the beach and coastline can be walked to (going past some very nice and upmarket gated villas may we add) in under 10 minutes with a choice of routes and areas of coastline to enjoy. Agios Georgios has a renowned fish taverna where fresh fish is brought from fishing vessels that are stationed in the picturesque harbour situated directly below.

The monastery at Agios Georgios is beautifully architectured and is always a draw for visitors to the area.

If you want to get out and explore some fantastic scenery, take a trip to the Akamas, Polis, Latchi or even Troodos mountains. The Akamas is an untouched part of Cyprus with unspoilt coastline and traditional fish taverns in stunning seaside locations. Troodos is of course the main mountain range in Cyprus, not many people know that in the winter....you can ski! It may well be the perfect location for a vacation retreat.

Buses travel all around Paphos and surrounding villages. The current deal of a day pass is 2 euros making this a great value way to see around the area..
