The cottage is beautifully maintained and is located in Upper Wensleydale in the picturesque village of Askrigg. Askrigg itself dates back over many centuries and today is a vibrant community with much going on in and around the village. The Old Mill cottage is tucked away in a quiet lane just off the main street, and is a stone's throw from local amenities, including a country store, three public houses (all serving food) and the Village Kitchen, which provides home cooked takeaway meals and packed lunches, cakes, pies and also a tea-room.

The cottage has recently undergone significane refurbishment and has a stunning modern kitchen with an induction hob, large washer/drier, fridge freezer and underfloor heating.

The cottage is located in the heart of upper Wensleydale in the picturesque village of Askrigg. In the 1970s this was the location for the village of Darrowby, which was the backdrop for the popular series, 'All Creatures Great and Small'. The Old Mill cottages are tucked away in a quiet lane just off the main street, and are a stone's throw from local amenities, including a general store, three public houses (all offering food) and the Village Kitchen, which provides home cooked takeaway meals, packed lunches, freshly baked bread, cakes, pies and much more.

Footpaths and rural walks are easily accessible, and some can be reached without walking on roads. On the outskirts of Askrigg is a small leisure centre with a gym and outdoor sports facilities. The nearby towns of Hawes and Leyburn provide weekly markets, and shopping in small, independent supermarkets and specialist retailers
