Fine modern apartment on top floor with lift access. This 2 bed apartment accommodates up to 6 people. There is ensuite to master bedroom and a family bathroom. Large living room opening onto large south facing balcony with side wing which looks west - ideal for evening drinks as the sun sets! Inside there is a large separate kitchen and entrance hall and inner hall to bedrooms. Outside a shared pool gets the sun almost all day and is long, giving scope for a decent swim. There are sun beds around the pool. Located on a slight rise there are good views all round and open country and villas to the rear of the property. A short walk leads to the sea front which has been upgraded and is largely pedestrianised. Armacao de Pera is a nice town with a fishermens end and good restaurants with excellent fresh fish dishes. There is a good range of local shops and a covered daily market for fish and vegetables.

This is second visit . We found it as good this time as last time. The apartment was spotlessly clean. We would not hesitate to return again here.

A Great 10 days. The kids loved the apartment and the pool; plenty of space and very comfy beds. Good breeze every night. Great sunsets. Recommend Slide and Splash and Zoo Marine as great days out and also Albandeira beach – on the way to Carvoeiro.

Our best family holiday to date! There is nothing we could find fault with. A great apartment, wonderfully set out and equipped. The pool is great; the local beach and restaurants are fab. Would love to come back.

Armacao de Pera has a fantastic long sandy beach with beach walks possible to Gale, several kilometres to the east. To the west there are cliffs and with lovely isolated bays set into breaks in the cliff line; these are available within a short drive (one just a good walk away).
The town is small and has fantastic restaurants serving great fish dishes (amongst other meals) as there is an active fishermans' beach to the east of the town with fresh fish readily available in the daily fish, fruit and vegetable market (and of course fresh fish in the restaurants.
A newly completed pedestrianised promenade runs along most of the sea front, right to the fishermans' end.
Close by is a summer sand sculpture exhibition with amazing works in sand and is well worth a visit. for children and young adults there are great water parks and the Algarve's answer to Sea World - ZooMarine offers a full day of interest and spectacle (at http://www.zoomarine.pt/index.php).
30 minutes drive away is a major motor racing circuit which is host car and bike racing events. There is a major 3 day meeting every October for Classic car Racing, with many amazing cars taking part.
The Algarve is normally blessed with excellent weather and if there is rain (normally out of summer season) it is hard but normally short lived as the clouds come off the Atlantic and soon pass over to provide more sunny weather. The area is relatively green, being on the coast and getting the occasional rain shower and is not generally dusty and dirty from barren dryness. There are interesting coastal towns from Faro, Portimao and Lagos, being big old established towns ot small county villages and hamlets with traditional white houses.
Roads are generally well maintained and pretty quiet making driving stress free.
Behind the coastal strip are the Mountains rising to several thousand feet, with distant views right back to the sea, Portimao and nearby coastal towns and villages.
