The island of Sant' Antioco is expanded 109 sq km, with the nearby island of San Pietro, it is part of the sulcitano south-west of Sardinia. Distance from Cagliari Km 87, by extension, is the largest of the islands of Sardinia, the fourth in Italy after Sicily, Sardinia and Elba. An isthmus and a modern bridge will allow you to easily reach by car, camper or by public transport without being forced to new boarding.
In the island there are the towns of Sant 'Antioco with 12,000 inhabitants and Calasetta with 2,800 inhabitants plus the villages of Cussorgia and Maladroxia.
The different origins of the two populations, the Sardinian antiochensi doc, the calasettani from Liguria and Piemonte, gives to the island the special feature to have, just 8 km. away, two towns with history, traditions, culture and language that are completely different and all to discover.
For the ideal geographical position of the island of Sant 'Antioco is ideal for reaching all the paradises of the south west coast of Sardinia, from Pula to Buggeru, from Carloforte to Costa Verde.
The island of S. Antioco was recognized for the beauty and cleanliness of the sea ( completely unpolluted sea)
