Blairgowrie is a small Perthshire town , situated on the bank of the River Ericht , there are fine walks along the banks. and the town has a pretty town square where summer evening piping displays are often put on . The towns highland games are in the first week of September , This year Blairgowrie plays host to the Junior Ryder Cup .
The nearest town Blairgowrie is just 1.5 miles away , and an easy walk with pavement all the way , there are three supermarkets , lots of shops and a good selection of restaurants and takeaways . Petrol , banks and a leisure centre with swimming pool may also be found here .
