Swansea and the Gower have much to offer throughout the year and we are happy to offer short breaks for the majority of the year, so you don't need to wait for the summer! We are also happy to welcome multiple pets to the property at no additional charge.

The South Wales region

The Gower Peninsula became the UK's first area of outstanding natural beauty in 1956 and the fantastic coastline and quiet rural interior remain a significant draw for the many visitors to the area. As the region becomes increasingly well known there are more opportunities to engage in outdoor activities and to learn a new skill during your stay. Most recently our heroic football team made it into the Premier League and has been the means of introducing a whole new swathe of visitors to the charms of Swansea Bay. We hope you will make the decision to choose Swansea as your destination for your holiday this year, and if we are able to welcome you to Gower Edge then we look forward to doing so.

The Principality of Wales is on the western side of the United Kingdom. Copper mining gave Swansea its wealth in Victorian times and coal from the South Wales valleys was used to extract the metal from its ore. This means there is a significant amount of industrial heritage in the area, but this vies for historical interest with castles, natural landmarks and poets and artists such as Dylan Thomas and Ceri Richards. Ceri Richards was born in Dunvant, and his grave can be found in the local chapel in Dunvant Square.

Dunvant

Swansea is known as the festival city, and the name is well deserved. with the Gower Folk Festival, Swansea Festival of Transport and Gower Cycling Festival, to name but a few. The area is renowned for its beautiful beaches, many of which allow dogs all year round, and ready access to the motorway means that you can explore the local area further as well. See our website for further ideas.
