"Home away from home"
For a post-wedding celebration we rented this huge villa for a group of 22 people (age 4 - over 80) family and friends. Even though we felt this to be a bit of an experiment if we all get along, the l… More

"Even better than we could have hoped for!"
We wanted to find somewhere that could accommodate our large family group of 12 adults and 11 children with an age range of 1 - 74 years old. I found Finca El Ficus through trip advisor and immediate… More
Many thanks for your positive words. For five long years we spent and invest a lot of time and money, full of problems and work to restore the old building.
Now you are the best proof it was whorthwile and I am very grateful you say it publicly.I suspected it but it is your opinion that counts. Y hope to meet you again in the future and thank you personally.

"All our expectations, wishes and dreams were fulfiled."
We were a familygroup of 22 persons age 7 months to 66 years staying here 1 week . Everything we needed was proveded for us. Finca El Ficus is even moore beautifull than the pictures on their homepages show. The big garden had place for activities for all ages, in the swimmingpool or just resting in the shadow. The owner Milagro Munes was allways near by if help was needed. And with warm, sunny weather we had nothing left to wish for.

"Our best family holiday place, ever"
We stayed at this paradise for two weeks in August 2013. There were sixteen of us - our extended family and a couple of friends, aged between 2 and 75.
That we had a wonderful vacation was because of the palatial villa, the immaculate and fabulous (and enormous) gardens and grounds - not to mention the huge and crystaline pool - and the warm, kind, and most efficient attention from the owner, Milagro. We now consider her a close friend of ours.
The listing description of the property, gardens, pool, and facilities was accurate, although it didn't do full justice to the place. It was far better than any of us hoped for. It was maintained wonderfully well, and in a magnificent state of repair: Not bad for a nineteenth century mansion!
We made the fortunate choice of opting for the daily help from a most kind and hard-working lady (Dynalin), who also became a friend of the family's as the days rolled by. She was a great worker, a good cook, and wonderful with the children. Miguel, the gardnener, worked constantly throughout the day, keeing the grounds in impeccable condition. Not that we saw him that often, because he was up very early each morning - and the grounds were so big anyway.
I would give this place the highest possible recommendation for use by another large family, or family and friends, or a wedding party, or a Company motivation and bonding weekend - or longer if possible.
With such grounds and such a large swimming pool (during something of a heatwave), we were content to spend most of the time at 'home'. But we did make the occasional excursion up and down the coast, and along the impressive inland mountains. We were glad we had rented cars, for the Finca is set a little way back from the town of Denia itself. Reliable taxis are readily available if someone decides to go partying in town.
We were very glad of the air-conditioning throughout the villa, although almost all of us spent the days and the evenings lounging around the pool, and the nearby open-air sitting out place, with its full outdoor cooking facilities.
A note of caution about the pool. Parents ended up putting pool shoes on the children, for the tiny tiles had been slightly lifted in places, and the sharp edges tended to scrape the toes or heels of tender young feet. That didnt stop anybody swimming, though!
It was our eighth successive family holiday, and was by far the best and most successful of them all.
Thank you Milagro!
