Home description
This comfortable home is situated in the centre of Denia, in a quiet, self-contained residential square of fisherman's cottages.
The refurbished house offers private parking and easy ground-floor access. A large hall leads to a light and spacious living-dining area and fully, recently-equipped kitchen, as well as double bedroom and beautiful walk-in shower room accessed via a small patio. Upstairs are two more double bedrooms and luxurious bathroom with sunken bath. The master bedroom leads to a sun terrace with table and chairs for dining and lounging. A portable gas-fuelled barbecue is provided. Although not boasting its own pool, the house is within 200m of the "Club Nautico" (Boat Club) with its own beautiful indoor/outdoor pool facilities open to the public all year round.
In addition to the internal comfort, one of the most attractive features of this house is its location. It is within easy walking distance from the buzzing main street and commercial centre, attractive old town with pedestrian streets, fishing port and Marina, as well as the well-maintained "town" beaches at either side of the centre of Denia. Great for holiday-makers who don't want to be bothered with too much driving!

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
This part of the Costa Blanca boasts beautiful scenery with its Mediterranean coastline bordered by stunning mountain ranges. Its climate is renowned worldwide for its gentle winter temperatures and calid summers. Average air temperatures range from 15ºC in the winter to 32ºC in the summer.
The area offers a wide range of activities - horse-riding, tennis, walking/trekking in beautiful mountain scenery. A top-quality golf course (designed by Olazabal) can be found only 20 minutes drive away from Denia at La Sella. Those looking for more action-packed holiday can find theme and water parks (Terra Mítica, Aqualandia) at Beniform only 40 minutes drive away. A brand-new shopping centre has recently opened at Ondara, 10 minutes drive from Denia, where visitors will find bowling and multi-lingual cinemas as well as the most sought-after shops. Valencia and Alicante, both only an hour's drive from Denia, are also well worth a visit.
Denia area
Denia is a thriving fishing port, bustling seaside resort and delightful cosmopolitan town on the Mediterranean coast. It is seeped in history and culture, its origins dating from pre-Roman times. Denia's castle rises above the town boasting fantastic views of the coast and imposing Montgó mountain. Miles of well-kept sandy beaches (Las Marinas) extend north from the centre of the town and the sheer number of beaches ensures they are never over-crowded. A rocky coastline (Las Rotas) lies to the south, with its beautiful coves, ideal for snorkling and exploring. Sample the wide range of water sports and other sporting activities such as quad-biking, tennis and cycling or simply enjoy lounging on the sunny beaches.
The tree-lined main street, Marqués de Campo, is a great place to sit and relax on one of its many terraces, and to take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the many shops and boutiques. Stroll down the modern Marina with its fantastic range of bars and restaurants and explore the old town, much of which has recently become pedestrian, with cobbled streets and a wealth of little shops, bars and restaurants.
If you wish to sample the gastronomic delights of the Mediterranean, this is a perfect place to be. Denia offers something for people of all ages and is an ideal holiday choice for families, couples and groups of friends.
How to get there
Fly to Alicante or Valencia airports (both served by several budget airlines). Time to Denia from both airports is just over one hour's drive.
Take motorway A7/E15 south from Valencia or north from Alicante. Leave motorway at Junction 62 (signpost to Denia/Javea/Ondara - big commercial centre Portal La Marina visible from motorway). Toll approx 7€. Drive straight on towards Denia meeting dual carriageway in about 5 km which takes you to the centre of Denia. Follow signs to Port and Ferry. When you reach roundabout (sea ahead of you) next to Balearia Ferries and Tourist Office, turn right. Placeta Marina Alta is the second turning on the right, and No1 is the first house in the square on the left. Residential parking in front of house.
If not driving, there is a train service from Alicante city centre to Denia. Transfer from airport to Alicante train station by bus or taxi. Denia station is less than 5 minutes walk from the house. Taxi service also available to and from both airports.
