About this location
The Valenciana region
The Costa Blanca has one of the best coastlines in Spain, over 2800 hours of sunshine every year, sandy beaches and warm seas....lively towns, tiny inland villages, areas of outstanding natural beauty and historic buildings.
Away from the coast, the evidence of Moorish occupation can be seen in the hillside terraces, where olives, almonds and an abundance of fruit and vegetables are still cultivated today.
Denia is the capital of the Costa Blanca, with a historic past that can still be seen in the Castle and streets of the old town.
Today, it's the perfect destination for a holiday, with 15 KM of golden sandy beaches, a fantastic variety of restaurants and bars and a lively nightlife. Denia is also a great starting point for exploring other towns of the Costa Blanca, with Alicante to the South and Valencia to the North.
There's a fishing fleet which sets out from the harbour every day, and fresh fish can be bought from the fish market on the harbour quay. Fresh fruit ,vegetables, and almonds are widely cultivated in the immediate area, while the best rice in Spain is grown in Valencia. Also reknowned for having several fabulous fiestas throughout the year, from The Three Kings in January, through to Fallas, Fiestas Majors and the spectacular Moors and Christians in August.
