Further details outdoors

Large terraces and naya, equipped with moveable BBQ, sunloungers, tables and chairs. The roof terrace has seating area and there are retractable washing lines here if required. The main terrace overlooks the side and back gardens and can be shuttered if needed. The gardens on 3 sides are laid to lawn and are well stocked with palm trees, roses and shrubs. The garden is watered every night by a computer operated system. Surrounded by hedging , the gardens are child friendly and the front gate can also be locked. There is also parking available on the driveway in front of the lockable garage as off road parking is needed due to the width of the roads on Los Naranjos. On the front terrace there is a small washing area and an utility room which houses the washing machine and other household items. Beach equipment can be found in a small outside locker on the driveway side of the villa. The communal swimming pool is about 75 metres away from the house and is purely for residents and guests on Los Naranjos. Most of the villas have their own pool or hot tubs so we find the pool is usually uncrowded.

The Costa Blanca/Valencia region

Alicante weather is well known for mild winters and warm to hot summers. Covered in the north by small hills and further north by high mountains the area has its own microclimate. This limits the rainy days per year to approximately 25. Dominated by the cities of Alicante and Valencia the area has many other towns and villages to visit as well as a vast coastline of sandy beaches. Valencia is well known for the Oceanarium with one of the largest aquariums attracting hundreds of vistors and has a Formula one track.

Alicante is dominated by the Santa Barbara castle overlooking the city with its many shops, restaurants and bars. Benidorm is a major tourist attraction with its many high rise hotels and two large sandy beaches.Other places of interest are Moraira, Elche, Guadelest and Gandia. Inland is the Jalon valley where wine is collected in cooperatives and sold locally in the bodegas.

Denia

The development at La Sella covers a large area partly on a hill with properties leading down to surrounding orange groves. The facilities offered are a bar and restauarant with a terrace overlooking 8 tennis courts and the riding stables both of which offer lessons if required. There is a mini supermarket and bakery nearby as well as a pharmacy, internet cafe and learning centre and Serviden offfices where tickets can be obtained for a visit to Benidorm Palce nightclub.

The development is patrolled by security for added safety. A short drive away is the Marriott Hotel and Spa with its 27 hole golf course. Denia is more of a Spanish town with the main treelined steet dotted with tapas bars, restaurants and coffee bars where you can sit on the pavement watching the world go by.The castle up on the hill is worth a visit for the great views over the marina. The ferry from Denia makes regular trips to Ibiza and Majorca. A local tram runs from the railway station to Alicante stopping at many towns along the coast.
