The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

Denia / Las Marinas area
Denia is a delightful cosmopolitan coastal town, rich in history and culture and its streets are a fascinating showcase of architecture through the years. The town is midway between the two international airports of Valencia (to the North) and Alicante (to the South).Both airports are within an hour's drive using the toll paying A7 motorway. Denia is just a 15 minutes hop from exit 62.
Because of the 20- kilometers coastline, the beaches in Denia never get overcrowded and Las Marinas beach is a particular favourite with tourists because of its facilities like - Beach Patrols, foot showers, hiring of watersports and most importantly the extreme vicinity to the town itself infact Las Marinas seafront is served by a long line of of beach bars and restaurants offering the best of regional and international cuisine. The islands of Ibiza and Majorca are just a short ferry ride away with crossing leaving Denia daily.
Denia is much more than a holiday resort, it boasts modern supermarkets, a large number of banks, top quality shops, doctors, dentists and the area's biggest hospital.
Do you like to play golf?
If so you are in for a treat. The Olazabal designed La Sella Golf Course is 15 minutes drive inland near the village of Jesus Pobre. The course has 18 holes, par 72 and is 6,029 metres.Facilities include driving range,putting green,motorised trolleys,club bar, restaurant and swimming pool. ( handicap certificate needed). Other golf courses nearby are at Javea ( 20 Km ) and Oliva (12 Km )
Denia is less than one hour's drive away from Valencia or Alicante and both these cities are well worth a visit!
How to get there
Arriving into either Alicante or Valencia airports, it will take you, approximately one hour to drive to Denia. When leaving either of the airports join the main motorway A7 / E15, from Valencia travelling south towards Alicante. From Alicante travelling north towards Valencia/Barcelona. In either case you need to come off the motorway at Junction 62. After paying the toll (approx 7 Euros) go straight towards Denia staying on this road for approx 6 Km until you hit the main dual carriageway that takes you into the centre of Denia. At the next four roundabouts go straight ahead and at the 5th smaller roundabout take the 3rd exit and follow the signs for Las Marinas,after a mile you will hit a small roundabout close to the beach. Take a left turn and keep looking for the signs of the Hotel Daniya on your left side. Take a left turn just after the Fernando Restaurant .
The Elegance complex is just opposite the Hotel. Follow around to the rear of the complex, where you can enter the underground secure car park, and take the lift directly to the door of your apartment.
All the major car hire companies operate from both airports, of course it is always cheaper to pre-book from the UK using a price comparison site on the internet i.e. travelsupermarket.com.
