About the home

Casa Henrique is nestled among other privately owned villas in El Palmar. It is perfect for those seeking a peaceful base with convenient location to the beach which is only 600 metres ( six minutes walk ) away. The old market town of Denia with its old fishing port, castle and stunning new marina, is 4.5kms away.
A special feature of El Palmar are its two swimming pools, the larger one has water slides and a paddling pool with a central island. There is also a playground area.
Casa Henrique is comfortably furnished in charming 'spanish style' and has been re-furbished with a new 'rustic style' kitchen and two new bathrooms. Patio doors from the lounge lead on to a paved patio area in the front, which leads up to a private roof terrace with mountain and roof top views and built in BBQ. It makes a great setting for a family evening meal.
The circular double bedroom and en suite shower room in the tower leads off from the roof terrace. Bedrooms can be made up as a double and a twin or two doubles (& sofa bed ).

The villa has garden furniture on the roof terrace and also on the patio. The large pool is 300 metres away and the smaller pool is 50 metres away. There is a supermarket and restaurants within walking distance. There is a regular hourly bus service into Denia. Airport collection can be arranged.

Winter Lettings of four weeks or more reduced by 20 %!!

A 30% deposit is payable on booking, the remainder to be paid 8 weeks prior to departure.

£60.00 is payable for cleaning/changeover which includes linen and bath towels. ( Not beach towels.)

A refundable security deposit of £100.00 to be paid on final balance. The deposit will be returned to you in full (assuming there are no breakages ect !) within 10 days of your return home.Renters are responsible for organising their own personal travel insurance to cover cancellation,injury,loss,damage etc.

Please vacate the villa by 10am on the day of departure, unless by prior arrangement. Arrivals from 2pm please.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

Denia has the mildest of climates ( the sea sparkles 315 days under the sun). The warm, crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean and the gentle winds make Denia a perfect sight for water activities, or just lazing on the beach.
Historic Denia and its port is alive and bustling with a real spanish flavour. It also has a superb new marina. The villa is within reasonable travelling distance to attractins such as a large fun park, a water park and also an exotic animal park, golf courses and hiking trails in the mountainous Montgo Natural Park with its wonderful vistas overlooking Denia and the northern costa blanca. Or visit the inland villages along the Orba and Jalon valleys in the mountains.

The Denia / Las Marinas area

Casa Henrique is just a 5 minute walk to a safe blue sandy beach which stretches to a total of 8 km. There are a good selection of restaurants within walking distnce of the villa, and also a supermarket. Denia town centre and its attractive new marina is just 4.5 km away. Buses run into the town hourly.
Denia and its region is renowned to have the most fesrivals in the world! Denia's festival week takes place in early July which includes the running of the bulls in the main high street. There are several day visits within 30 minutes drive which are ideal for families. ie ' Aqualandia', a large water park is an unforgettable day out for the whole family, as is Mundomar and Terra Mitica. There is also an authentic flamenco evening for those who like a taste of the real Spain.

Cheap flights are available to Alicante or Valencia airport with Easyjet, BMI baby, Ryan Air or Flybe.
Generally flights are cheaper the earlier you book.
Alicante airport is 1 hour 15 minutes.
Valencia airport is also 1 hour 15 minutes.
We supply detailed directions if you are driving and the route from either airport is straight forward.
We can supply you with details of a taxi service to meet you at the airport. Approximately 100 euros (2012 prices) one way for up to four people.

“A place to get away from it all” This villa is situated in lovely grounds with large palms in the gardens. The sun terraces are well designed so that you are not overlooked when relaxing outside, or barbecuing. The villa is really nice inside, with modern appliances, cooker, washing machine, fridge etc. Both bedrooms have new air conditioning units. These were great, and one of the reasons we chose this villa. We had use of two pools here, the small one just out of the gate, and a larger one about a minutes walk through the other villas. The small was our favorite as 90% of the time we were the only people there. We would use it at 9am, 5pm and also 9pm under the stars. The larger pool was also quiet for August ! but is very picturesque with palms, slides, a bar, and showers and toilets. These pools were very clean and tidy with lifeguards, and pool cleaners there all day. If you are coming to this area I would recommend you learn a few words of Spanish though. The people do speak a little English, but I found it much easier and enjoyable to learn a few words and try them out. There is a Spanish dictionary at the villa, I used it a lot. We hired a car from Alicante airport and found it really useful for trips to Valencia and Benidorm. However the buses and trains were regular and inexpensive. You have a choice of a few beaches within walking distance of the villa, all were very quiet, and the sea is shallow and warm for swimming. All round a great place for a relaxing holiday, with plenty to keep teenagers happy on days out. We had a great time.

“Exceeded our expectations” My family and I have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Casa Henrique and would like to thank Caroline and David for the use of thier lovely villa. We had a wonderful time and felt relaxed as soon as we stepped into the villa which is all (and more) as descibed in the advert. The location of the villa is perfect for a relaxing time with the roof terrace bathed in sunshine all day and the downstairs terrace being the perfect place to eat al fresco in the shade. If you do not want to hire a car then dont worry as we used the taxi service recommended by Caroline and David for airport transfers and for a large shop at the supermarket. The service provided by Flor was 1st class, she even had iced cold water and snacks for us when we arrived at Alicante airport. Cost was 208 euros return. She will also take you on any tour that you like , this along with a regular bus service into Denia (bus stop 2 mins walk) makes it ideal if you dont want to drive All in all we had a wonderful time. We had exactly the holiday we like, a relaxing peacful base with plenty of things to do/see in the area.

“Lovely villa,great pools,close to everything we needed !!” We had a fab time at Casa Henrique, villa was very clean and tidy with lots of information available as to what to do in the area.Loved the pools and also the lovely little garden which we enjoyed keeping watered and looking nice .Restaurants nearby were great and so the beaches ,we did have a car which was really handy to move around the area.We are really fussy people so as I couldn't fault anything this was a triumph !!! Had 2 teenagers with us also who loved the pools and the area ,plenty to do to keep them happy too !!(although they did moan about the no wifi !!) Response: Many thanks for your appreciative comments. Just to let everyone know, there is wifi available in cafe-bar 'mediterraneo' just 300 meters from the villa, less than a five minute walk.
