The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

Cilmatically, the World Health Organisation recognises this region of the Costa Blanca as being amongst the healthiest in the world . Lots of sunshine, moderate heat ( compared to Costa de Sol) and low humidity are the factors that contribute to this. Costa Blanca boasts pale sandy beaches, fragrant orange groves, almond trees and enhanced with a backdrop of stunning mountain scenery.

The house itself has views across the golf course to Mount Mongo National Park.

The theme parks of Terra Mitica, Mundomar and Aqualandia Water park are all within 30 minutes drive.

Fiestas
It isn’t always fiesta time in Denia but there are certainly many to entertain you including:-
January – the Epiphany Parade and Pilgrimage to the heritage of Santa Paula.
February – Carnival and the Mig
March – the Fallas
June – the bonfires of San Juan
July – the town feast in honour of the Santisima Sangre, with steer baiting on the quay
August – Festival of san Roque, with the Moors and Christians parade


Denia / La Sella Development area

Denia is a lively old historic town with a castle, port and a vibrant choice of eateries and cafes. The beaches are just a short drive away which offer excellent snorkelling opportunties. The house itself is nestled next to the La sella Golf complex and associated 5* Marriot Hotel and Health Spa. There is horseriding and tennis facilities within the La Sella complex that offers lessons for all ages and standards.

If you are into fiestas there are plenty throughout the year within the local area. If you want to extend your night life options then hop on a ferry to Ibiza that leave from Denia. The Jalon wine growing valley is a short drive away.

European F1 Grand Prix held in Valencia for first time in 2008 and planned for 2009.


How to get there

The most convenient airport is Alicante. Total time to villa after leaving the airport is 1 hour.

From the airport take the A7 motorway to Valencia. Take exit 62 after ~ 90 km to Denia. Take the N332 to Javea after exiting the toll booth. After 0.5 km take the La Xara exit on the CV724. You will go back under the N322 and after two mini roundabouts you will see the entrance of La Sella on the right.

Once in La Sella wind your way through the development and down towards the golf course. El Olivar number 4 is on the bottom road adjacent to hole number 12 !.

Alternatively you can fly to Valencia and drive South on A7, same exit- its just a little longer.
