The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

The Costa Blanca runs from Valencia in the north to Torrevieja in the south and is a region renowned for its wonderful mild winter climate - one of the healthiest on earth, according to the 'World Health Organisation'.
The scenery is quite spectacular, with rugged mountain backdrops, sparkling blue sea and the golden sand of some of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. When it comes to nightlife and dining out there is something for everyone in this region. In the vibrant city of Denia, you will find an abundant choice of excellent shops, restaurants and atmospheric bars. Situated at the foot of the majestic Montgó mountain, Denia's setting amidst lemon and orange groves is truly spectacular. Nature lovers may enjoy scenic walks in the Montgó Natural Park, home to a variety of species which are unique to this ecosystem, while more adventurous hikers will climb all the way up to the mountain top. At a height of 753m above sea level, breathtaking views will reward the exhausted hiker. On clear days, the rocky silhouette of the island of Ibiza may be visible at the horizon and invite the visitor to board the new super-fast ferry which connects Denia and the island in just two hours.
The average winter rainfall in the Costa Blanca is actually less than any other area of Spain, including the Costa del Sol, which is why more and more golfers are making this their winter golfing destination. There are many first class courses to choose from, all less crowded than their counterparts in the Costa del Sol or the Algarve and also less expensive.

Denia / El Vergel area

The apartment is within 5 min drive to the Safari Park at El Vergel where you can discover the delights of the Animal Kingdom in a fun-packed environment: 35 hectares of land that is home to 1400 animals and 145 different species.You can go round the park by car and have a choice of three routes to see herbivores, Bengal tigers and African lions. Alternately, you can walk around the open sections of the park, which are split into sections by theme: Iberian fauna, African birds, Asiatic and oceanic fauna, large herbivores etc., since the walkways are separated by canals or wooden barriers.
It is also a 1min walk to a brand new health spa where you can relax and be pampered or for the more active, play a game of tennis, swim in the indoor heated swimming pool or work out in the gym. Daily and weekly passes are available at a reasonable cost.
500m from the apartment you will find a beautiful white unspoiled sandy beach which is also home to the local wind surfing school. If you are looking for a round of golf we have a the wonderful Olivia Golf Course which is just a short drive away from the apartment.
The nearby town of Denia is dominated by the hill-top castle, part of which dates back from the Roman times. The castle is open to the public and easy to get to by car or by foot. The castle also houses the museum of archaeology which gives an insight into Denia from Roman to modern times,other places of interest in the town include churches, monuments and parks and there are impressive sculptures in most plazas.
Denia offers a million possiblities to enjoy the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean and the 20 km of Blue Flag beaches, with superb scuba diving around the more rocky coves. There are an abundance of sports and activities available locally including water skiing, sailing, swimming, paragliding, cycling, walking, fishing, golf, tennis and horse riding plus lots more.There are five nearby 18-hole golf courses designed, among others, by Spanish world class players Seve Ballesteros and Jose Maria Olazabal.The Spanish are famous for their festivals (fiestas), & the town of Denia has its fair share. Many of the festivals in Denia correspond to particular periods in the town's history.,during July the town celebrates Santissima a Sangre, which celebrates the town's patron saint & the blood shed by Jesus Christ. Events include infamous Toros a la Mar bull running around the seafront, in which young men run in front of the bulls before throwing themselves into the sea. Parades, processions & fireworks are also on offer.Between the 14th & 16th August the people of Denia celebrate the Moros y Christianos (Muslims & Christians) fiesta. This commemorates the battles between the Moors & the Christians in Denia. Many locals celebrate the festivity by way of donning elaborate costumes & parading through the town streets. As usual there is plenty of food & drink to be had, & fireworks crown the event.Denia is within driving distance of the largest water park in the region, & one of the largest in Spain. The Aqualandia Aqua Park Benidorm is a great day out for the entire family; boasting a multitude of slides & chutes, wave pool, lazy river, in addition to many pools & children's play areas.

There is a sofa-bed in the lounge which can accommodate a further 2 people if required, for bookings of 5/6 and add an extra £30 per week per person. Please note that linen and towels are provided but bring your own beach towels.

Conditions

25% non refundable deposit secures your booking with the remainder becoming due 8 weeks prior to your arrival. £150 refundable deposit is also required to ensure safe return of all keys and in case of breakages. Payments can be made by GBP cheque, Pay Pal or bank transfer- any charges within these forms of payment are at the cost to the purchaser.
