Our article is devoted to the region of Marina Alta, which is situated at the turn of two shores: Costa Blanca and Costa de Valencia. Such towns as Denia, Havia, Oliva, Teulada, Calpe, Moraira are located here.
The unique nature of this region amazes the tourists with its beauty and variety. Forests, mountain lakes, snowy mountain ridges, caves and waterfalls, rivers and grape valleys, plantations of lemons, oranges and olives are the lovely things in this sunny country. The special climatic conditions give a wonderful opportunity to luxuriate on the sunny beach even in November. A two hours' journey allows you to feel all the advantages of a skiing resort. The nearest skiing resort is located not far from the town of Teruel, which is also famous for its palaeontology park of dinosaurs and incomparable architectural ensemble in the Mudejar style. Not far from here such famous skiing resorts as Nevada and Sierra can be found. The Spaniards usually say: “ In order to learn Spain you need three hundred years of living here”. And it is really so. It is rather difficult to find such an abundance of sights anywhere else. Spain is a cradle of the European civilization. The tourists come here to see different architectural and historical monuments, the unique nature preserves, museums and entertaining complexes. For example, Benidorm, which is situated in the neighborhood is known as “the Spanish Las-Vegas”, and the amusement park of Terra Mitica leaves any Disneyland in the dust. The representative of different European nations ( Englishmen, German people, Swiss, Dutch,Frenchmen) live side by side with the Spaniards in the picturesque towns of Spain. The merging of different cultures, which supplement each other, has happened here. The developed infrastructure of the coastal area allows the tourists to have high-quality rest and living conditions. The modern Spain provides the tourists with wonderful sandy and pebbly beaches, numerous luxurious restaurants, cozy cafes, parks, medieval castles, shops and wine-cellars. Tourists from all over the world travel to Marina Alta to have a rest and restore their health. Some foreigners and people from Western Europe arrive here for the permanent residence. It is possible to live on plush here all the year round.

The village has several modernist buildings and on the Plaza Mayor is a structure entitled 'Porxens' where the market is held. Some beautiful police houses can be seen next to the Church, which is opposite the market.
