The North Wales region

There's something magical for everyone in the North Wales Borderlands - whatever your interest.

Take a trip on the Llangollen canal and admire the view from the Pontycysyllte Aqueduct crossing, an engineering marvel towering 100ft above the river Dee. Visit a range of world class golf courses with greens and fairways running along the border between Wales and England. Spend a day at the races or get behind the wheel of a state of the art 4x4 and try out your off-road driving skills.

Enjoy woodland walks, unspoilt for centuries and rich in wildlife and history or explore the Clwydian Range. From thrill seekers to those who just want to kick back and relax, this area of outstanding natural beauty won't disappoint.

If you're looking for down hill thrills or steep ascents, some of Wales ' best mountain biking trails can be found at Coed Llandegla in the Clwyd mountains. For foodies, there are plenty of food festivals, lovely little restaurants and pubs offering fresh local food all along the North Wales Borderlands.

Denbigh

This luxury cottage is situated in a convenient and much sought after location in the small hamlet of Cefn Berain, North Wales and is surrounded by totally unspoilt countryside. Denbigh Cottage enjoys a particularly sunny position, glorious views and offers a good deal of privacy and seclusion. There is also a bus stop 90 yards from the cottage.

The cottage is situated only 1½ miles from neighbouring villages Henllan and Llannefydd. Henllan has a village shop and post office, and a friendly, welcoming pub called Llindir Inn. Llannefydd lies in an area of outstanding natural, unspoilt beauty and the local pub, Hawk and Buckle, is known in the area for its excellent pub grub.

The cathedral town of St Asaph with its Tweedmill Factory Outlets and the ancient market town of Denbigh are both 3.5 miles away. Located 10 minutes south of the main A55 coast road, the nearest beach is only 10 miles away in Rhyl, whilst other popular seaside resorts such Rhos on Sea, Llandudno and Conwy are all within 30 minutes.

Enjoy a wide range of watersports activities, quad biking and paint-balling at the Open Door activity centre, only a mile from the cottage. Good sporting and recreational facilities are available at Denbigh and St. Asaph, as well as a Ski & Snowboard Centre, Toboggans etc at Llandudno.

Visit Bodnant Garden, Loggerheads Country Park and the numerous castles, including Denbigh (3.5 miles) and Bodelwyddan (5 miles) with its museum, gallery, gardens, adventure playground, ghost walks and health spa. The immediate area offers excellent riding, fishing and countryside walks whilst the coastal path, Llandegla Forest and Llyn Brenig are very popular for walking and cycling.
