Riumar is a place to come to unwind and to enjoy a slower pace of life, you can choose to be active or relaxed,nwhichever suits your mood. You can sample the Spanish wine, the regional tapas, different types of paella or grocery shop and cook in the comfort and privacy of your home away from home. You can travel historically back in time by visiting Tarragona's Roman ruins or frighten the life out of yourself riding the roller coaster at Universal's Port Aventura. There are 14 km of sandy beach in Riumar, just waiting for your footprints.
Located in the Delta del Ebro Nature Reserve, where the river Ebro meets the sea, in the rice growing region of Spain and an area of outstanding natural beauty.
It's a 2 minutes walk from the villa to miles of wild sand dunes and unspoilt beach, where the sea is perfect for family bathing.
The living-dining area and well-equipped kitchen are open plan with air-conditioning in the living area only. All windows & doors are fitted with mosquito/fly nets. There is a rear-covered veranda overlooking the private pool and garden with separate dining table and chairs for six, for outdoor dining and relaxing. To the rear of the property off of the garden is a staircase to the sunroof terrace. Which also provide wonderful views of the seashore and the flamingo lake in the distance.

It's 90 kilometres from the historical city of Tarragona and about 20 kilometres from the city of Tortosa. Barcelona is 170 kilometres to the north, a 2-hour train ride away, and Valencia is 200 kilometres to the south.

Facilities

Further details indoors:
The villa consists of three bedrooms, two bedrooms with two single beds in each and one bedroom with a double bed. The bathroom has vanity unit, shower & toilet. The kitchen is American in style with a breakfast bar. The kitchen has hotplates; oven, kettle, Washing machine, microwave & fridge/ freezer the lounge area has seating for six on leather suite & chairs, English Satellite television only at present, DVD and air-conditioning to the lounge area. All windows & doors are fitted with mosquito/fly nets. The villa is not heated, However we can supply free standing heaters if required out of season, at additional cost.

Further details outdoors:
The property has a large sun terrace that is reached from the garden area via external steps and provides great views of the Delta, beach and bird sanctuaries in the distance.

The private 7 x 4 metre pool is suitable for children, under supervision, with steps at one end and sun loungers are at the rear of the house. The garden is also private. There is a veranda area, which gives welcome shade by the pool in the summer, with table and chairs for external dining, which also overlooks the garden and pool.

The garden has printed cast paving shapes around the pool area, with flowerbeds to the sides and back. The garden also has an external barbecue for cooking and dining out side. It benefits from all day sun until sunset, making the most of your day.

There is off road parking beside the villa for one/two cars. How ever more parking is available in the adjacent quiet side road.

The owners live approximately 35 minutes from the property. So are on hand to provide assistance if required.

The villa is strictly non-smoking. This is for the comfort of all of our customers. Please note that if smoking within the villa is discovered you will be asked to leave or your deposit may be forfeited to allow for furnishing cleaning with no exceptions.
We however have no objection to smoking within the garden areas.

Conditions

Change Over Day.

Our customers are required to leave the villa by 10.0am on the day of departure. To allow for
cleaning and preparation for our next customer.

The villa can only be occupied from 16.00pm on the first day of your holiday.

Deposits - Security & Cleaning.

A security deposit of 200.00 Euros & a cleaning deposit of 35.00 Euros are payable on arrival.
These are to cover any breakages or damage to the villa or equipment.
If the villa/kitchen is left in the condition that it was found on arrival, no deductions are made against the cleaning deposit.
Both are then returned on departure after check out. Providing that there is no damage and the kitchen/villa is left in the same condition as it was found.

The Costa Dorada/Tarragona region

Riumar is situated on the east coast of Spain at the most southern point of Catalonia and at the further most tip of the Delta del Ebro, where the river Ebro meets the sea. The villa is a group of seven other private villas near the beach and the beach is about 150 metres from the villa or 2 minutes walking distance. Riumar is a wonderful area, which has not been affected by the mass-market tourism. There are a number of small bars located on the beach, but the beach is unspoilt and is blue flag standard. The whole area is very under developed and benefits from bird sanctuaries on all sides surround the area.

The Deltebre / Riumar area

To the South East of the Costa Brava in Catalonia is the less well-known Costa Dorada. Riumar is a small resort in the south-eastern part of the region, in a convenient position, 75 km south-west from Tarragona, 160 km south-west from Barcelona. Supermarket, shops, restaurants & bars. Access: from the motorway AP-7, exit number - 40 "L'Aldea". Access is via a good road to the area. Railway station "Camarles" 7 km. Salou 70 km. Tortosa 25 km. L'Ampolla 10 km. Town situated in the Parque Natural del Delta del Ebro, in a protected nature area and surrounded by rice fields. Where the River Ebro flows into the Mediterranean.

There are half a dozen restaurants within walking distance. The village has a supermarket with bikes for rent, a butcher's, a baker's, coffee shop, bars and a fishing supply shop all about 10 minutes walk away.

For banks and bigger supermarkets you have to go to Delebre ( La Cava), the nearest local town, a 12-minute drive away.

Attractions:

- Port Aventura Theme Park: located between Reus & Salou, This is Europe’s biggest theme park. Universal's Port Aventura combines the most amazing rides, shows, shops and restaurants divided into five themed areas.

- From the Mediterranean you can take the train to the Far West, or set sail for China where you can experience rides as diverse as the Grand Canyon and the world's only 8-loop roller coaster, Dragon Kahn!
And don't miss Mexico and Polynesia either, where you can take a rickety ride through the old silver mine or go on a wild boat ride.

- All areas have something for all age groups, so while teenagers and adults can experience the really terrifying rides, youngsters will enjoy rides specifically designed for them too. The Caribbean Aquatic Park is Port Aventura's water park, where you can enjoy the waterslides, wave pools and a tropical environment. Designed for all the family, the vast Grand Caribbean indoor area ensures you can enjoy your visit whatever the weather. And there are also a variety of shop sand restaurants.

- Bird Reserves/Sanctuaries & Fishing: this is a place to come to watch all types of birds from the flamingos that arrive in there thousands once a year. The little egret and of course the many birds natural to Spain. This is a place to enjoy fishing from catching carp to the mighty catfish. There are many local trips, boat hire vendors or you can fish from the riverbank or seashore.

Other activities include sailing, tennis and fishing with local fiestas of food and culture throughout the summer, cycling paths, boat trips along the river, quad bike hire, beach and countryside walks, also bird watching.

Accessed from Reus airport by (Iberia, Ryanair), Barcelona airport by (EasyJet, Iberia), Valencia by (EasyJet, Iberia, Ryanair) and Girona airport by (Ryanair).

It is 200 kilometres from Barcelona airport, approximately two hours by road, and 90 kilometres (under an hour drive) from Reus/Salou airport, where Ryan air have regular flights to and from Europe. A car is highly recommended. There is a railway station 25 minutes drive away and you can get a taxi from there to the villa.

The Riumar Resort is located approximately 12 km from the main AP7 Auto Route Toll road. or from the N340 non toll road. There is also a railway station in Aldea approximately 12km away for customers with out a car.

New for 2012, the owners of villa Migjorn are introducing, a new system of payment for their villa rental fees.

This will go some way to reassuring our customers in the purchase of their holiday at our villa Migjorn, Riumar, Delta Ebre.

......Payment......

A 20% deposit is payable of the total rental fee, at the time of the booking. However the balance can now be paid on arrival at the start of the holiday period. Instead of eight weeks before, as most other villa rental sites.

We believe that this will provide our customers with an assurance that they are dealing with reputable people & assist in a more maintainable cash flow for our customer’s holiday plans.

In order to take advantage of this offer, please request this method of payment at the time of booking.
