Mallorca is an island of contrasts which offers the discerning traveler rugged mountains ,beautiful coves and beaches, unforgetable landsapes of lemon ,orange and olive groves with the almond blosoms from the two million almond trees covering the island in early spring, along with the tiny villages which have not changed over the onslaught of time.
The capital of the island Palma offers a unique blend of the old town with the jewel being palma Cathedral and the cosmopoliton shopping area with designer shops trendy bars and restaurants Every season is a magical time on the island and because of its mild climate you can enjoy activities inside and outside throughout the year.
Deia area
The village of Deia nestles between the Tramuntana mountains and the sea. It attracts discerning travelers from all over the world with its renowned restaurants, bars and cafes where the writers, artists and locals mingle giving an ambience which makes Deia special. In the summer you can take a boat, relax fishing, swim in the clear blue water in one of the secuded coves or simply soak up the sun. In the months when the temperature is a bit cooler there are many walks which take in the stunning coastline and mountains depending on how active one wants to be. The area is also very popular with cyclists of all abilities. The breathtaking landscapes in and around Deia offers opportunities for aritsts from beginers to masters to create that special painting. During most the year there is live music in one of the bars and the Deia International Music Festival attracts performers from around the world.
In June(normally the third week )the village celebrates the Patron Saint with a week long festival of music; theater and comedy performed in different locations throughout the village.
