Beautiful house with private sunny roof terrace and separate shaded dining terrace. The house is set on 3 floors with the roof terrace providing 360 degree views of Deia, possibly the best location in the village. The roof terrace is finished with a luxury double Kettal daybed with adjustable shade, Phillipe Starck bistro table and chairs, shower and fridge. A truly unique spot for total relaxation, offering all day sun.
Separate front terrace off kitchen for shaded dining for 4. Full dining kitchen with integrated appliances and central island for dining, ensuite bedroom and spacious luxury lounge. Further details
Due to the narrow winding nature of Deia if you are bringing a car, we would recommend a small car. However all the facilities of the village are a 2 minute walk and the Cala is a 25 minute walk, a car free holiday is feasable. It is difficult to park in Deia, but we are fortunate to have a private parking space behind the house. To acces the house there are a number of steps up to the front terrace. A welcome pack of essentials will be provided, to ensure a relaxing start to your holiday. WiFi throughout the house and terraces.
The property is accessed via stone steps so it may not be suitable for people with more serious mobility problems.

Deia is situated in the spectacular mountain range of the north west coast. Since Robert Graves came to live here in the thirties the amazing beauty has attracted and inspired artists from all over the world.
The Deia area
25 minutes walk through olive groves and terraces, to Cala Deia cove with rustic pebble beach and 2 bar/restaurants. It has not been modernised, which lends to its rustic charm. The highly-reputed fish restaurant on the beach is considered to be one of the finest in the Balearic Islands (booking advisable).
The walk back takes longer as its mostly up hill! A bus service is available from the top of the hill to the Cala, if you prefer not to walk, and there is also a large car park at the bottom. Closest Golf Son Termes 20 minutes away.
Watch out for the Pa amb Oli band playing at Sa Fonda for a great night, check if they are playing, not to be missed. Sa Fonda, up the steps opposite the supermarket, is the hub of village life and should not be missed.
Art courses run by renowned artists are available in the village. There is a communal tennis court which can be booked at the Town Hall in advance. Tennis lessons are available from

The situation couldn't be more perfect. The house nestles against the mountains on the back of Deia with the most incredible views of the village, the surrounding countryside and the sea. The roof terrace is spellbinding – I defy you to find a better view in Majorca. When we drove up we thought the walk up and down the hill might be a challenge but not at all. It is very pleasant and not steep. The house forms part of an old terrace so doesn't have direct access from the road but it is a simple matter to drop your bags and park your car in the designated space up the hill. We didn't use the car at all for our one week stay. The owners have fitted the house out as it if was for them to live in and not a rental. Everything is great quality and in great taste. You enter via a lower dining terrace which has lovely views – slightly curtailed by the walls of the properties on either side – and wonderful shade. Straight into a fantastic kitchen with everything you might need. The first set of stairs to the bedroom and bathroom are quite steep – not a problem in any way for normal folk but if like me you suffer from slightly dodgy knees then a slight challenge. The bed is super comfortable with lovely crisp linens and the shower room (no bath in house) white, super modern and like everything else absolutely spotless. Another set of stairs to the delightful lounge with a large picture window framing the fabulous view , comfortable seating and all the TV and music mod cons you could require. The final spiral staircase leads to the roof where there is a double shaded day bed – hard to beat really as a place to relax with the aforementioned amazing view as icing on the cake. A brilliant and useful thought is that there is a fridge up here so no need to trek down to the kitchen for that cold beer. Other good things is the restaurant Sa Vinya is open all day and is just at the bottom of the road leading to the house. We loved this place and enjoyed many long lunches there. You are of course spoiled for choice in Deia for eating options. Couldn't bring myself to mark it down as this house is nearly perfect but it does have one fault. The steps. We are slightly older and town house just doesn't suit us BUT if you are spry then rent this amazing place. |
