Home description

The apartment is within the Son Canals development. This is a small new complex of apartments within 5 minutes walk from the centre of the village. The apartment has a particularly large terrace of approximately 30 square metres which includes a covered dining area. The terrace has an excellent view of the beautiful 16th Century Church of Saint John the Baptist which is floodlit in the evenings. Both bedrooms are on the ground floor and are air conditioned. The master bedroom has 2 electrically adjustable beds. The bathroom, also on the ground floor, is well equipped with a bath/power shower and bidet. Upstairs the air conditioned lounge/dining room opens onto the large terrace. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, drier, microwave, electric hob and oven. Double doors from the kitchen lead onto the covered breakfast/dining terrace.

The Mallorca/Majorca region

The beautiful village of Deia sits between the Tramontana mountain range and the sea. If you are looking for a stress free holiday, Deia is second to none. Over the years many artists, musicians and writers have made their home here. Classical music concerts, jazz nights, literary festivals and exhibitions take place frequently. The pretty towns of Valdemossa and Soller are both easily reached by car or bus and are well worth visiting. The coastal and mountain views along the road are spectacular. Palma with it's beautiful cathedral and excellent shops is only 35 mns away.


Deia area

There are quality restaurants in Deia including El Olivo, Josef's and Sebastian's and an excellent tapas bar, Xelini's, all within a short walk of the apartment. The 5 star hotel La Residencia with it's spa and Michellin star restaurant is 2 minutes walk from the apartment. The beach at Cala Deia is a leisurely 20 minute walk through olive groves. In summer months, there is a bus service from Deia village to the Cala. Cala Deia has an excellent seafood restaurant and a beach bar. For those who prefer to drive it is 5 minutes away. The local shop sells freshly baked bread, ensaimadas and a wide variety of provisions. There is a paper shop, a few bars, pharmacy, book shop, pottery and art gallery. The local bus service is excellent.

The lounge and bedrooms have hot/cold air conditioning. On the terrace there is a large charcoal burning Weber kettle BBQ. A cot is available and a high chair can be a arranged on request for a nominal cost.

The apartment is non-smoking. Small children are welcome as long as they are carefully supervised within the apartment.


Conditions

The apartment has been used as a second home and has been decorated accordingly.
Discounts are available for rentals over 2 weeks.
Changeover day is flexible. Arrival time is 3pm and departure time is 10am unless by prior arrangement. Every effort will be made to satisfy individual requirements.
The apartment is cleaned at the beginning and end of a rental.
A 30% deposit, which is non-returnable, is payable on booking. The balance of the rental cost is due 8 weeks before holiday date.
A refundable breakages deposit of £150 is required. A separate cheque for breakages deposit can be sent which will not be cashed subject to satisfactory property inspection.
