About the home

This renovated 4-story Normandy-style residence is located in a residential quarter 250 m from the beach and 200 m from shops. Located in pretty Deauville, home to the Deauville-La Touques Racecourse, the countryside around Deauville is the main horse breeding region in France.

The apartment is 25 m^2; there is a lounge with one double sofa-bed, a hallway with two bunk beds.
In all apartments you will find a fully equipped kitchen area with two ceramic hobs, refrigerator, microwave oven/grill, dishwasher and electric coffee-maker and kettle, bathroom with bathtub and toilet, pay TV and phone. Outside adjoined to the property you will find a balcony/terrace with garden furniture.

The Normandy / Calvados region

Discover the land of immense history and beauty. Normandy is famed for being a land of fashionable resorts and austere abbeys, warriors and prolific painters, saints and sinners.

Here are some of the highlights of the region

Clairefontaine racecourse: internationally famous for top-class horse racing and sales. There is also the La Touques race course.

The batteries at Mont Canisy: in Bénerville sur Mer, the natural site of Mont-Canisy overlooks the sea from an altitude of 110 m. A fantastic guided tour of its fortified installations, batteries and underground gallery (about 2 hours) is also available.

The "Belle Epoque" Automobile Museum in Pont-L’Evêque, Sea and Desert Museum in Villerville are also extremely popular.

The Aquarium / Vivarium at Trouville: has a magical display of aquatic wildlife in over 60 aquariums and vivariums (open all year round).

Trouville Museum: holds a number of fine arts museum with paintings, publicity posters, contemporary art and popular arts and traditions on the theme of Sea Bathing.

Cheese Museum in Livarot: reconstruction of a traditional farm dairy and cheese dairy.

Bishops’ Manor House in Canapville: classified as a historical monument and lived in by its owners.

The 13th century tower and the two15th century half-timbered manor houses seem totally unchanged.

Zoo: Cerza, the zoological site at Hermival-les-Vaux. 300 animals roaming free in 50 ha. Specialises in breeding threatened species. Possible to tour the Safari park on a little train.

Stud farms ("haras"): The Préaux stud farm, where you can find out all about the technical sophistication used in the world of horses and the financial aspects relating to it. The Sens stud farm at Beuvron-en-Auge: see horses in their daily environment, and find out about their training and various horse-breeding activities (the riding school, foaling boxes and observation room).

Normandy Bridge: lying between the Côte d’Albâtre and the Côte Fleurie, this masterpiece with its airy architectural design, enhanced by the natural setting of the Seine estuary, is well worth going to see.

The Deauville area

This Normandy sea-side resort is always extremely popular, whatever the season. The vast beach, the famous "Planches", the casino and that special mixture of relaxation, the art of living, sport and gastronomy are all highly appealing.
