Home description

Period seafront house with lots of original features including inglenook fireplaces, beams, exposed brickwork and old pine. Designed with an open plan theme, all levels of the house have magnificent sea views and overlooks Deal pier.

The accommodation is comfortable and consists of a large sitting room, incorporating a dining area and a servery to the bespoke kitchen. From the kitchen are double doors to the French style courtyard and to the al fresco dining area. From the upper floor windows it is possible to see the coastline of France on a clear day.

The South East England / Kent region

Kent is blessed with a mild climate and low rainfall. It is known as the Garden of England and is renowned for orchards, hops, and vineyards. The surrounding area to Deal has many beautiful and historic villages and towns. The seaside towns of Whitstable, Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Margate are within 30 minutes drive or rail journey as is Canterbury. There are many castles to explore including Leeds Castle and the nearby castles of Deal, Sandown, Walmer and Dover.


Deal area

Deal is a fashionable seaside town and has just been voted No. 1 in Coast magazine's poll as "Top spot to lay your beach towel". Deal has also been voted "Pier of the Year 2008" by the National Pier's Society and has been praised for the low number of amusement arcades, genuine Georgian properties and winding streets.

Deal has a microclimate of its own and enjoys favourable weather for walks on the lengthy promenades. The town has all the convenient facilities for easy living with many thriving individual shops, boutiques, pubs, restaurants, antique shops, places of historical interest, three castles, muesum, theatre, and the Timeball Tower.

The scenic seafront hosts many nautical festivals and outdoor entertainments, a carnival week in July, and the Deal music festival. Close by are the ferry ports of Dover and Folkestone for day trips to France. There are also three golf courses within 10 minutes drive and many fishing and yachting opportunities.


How to get there

By road: M20 or M2/A2 to Dover then A258 to Deal. Parking is pay and display on the seafront, in the town car park behind the property, or in various car parks in the town.

Also from the kitchen is a cloakroom with loo and handbasin. From the courtyard there are steps leading up to the main bedroom. This king size bedroom has an en suite bathroom. Also on the first floor is a second sitting room which faces the sea and the pier. On the second floor, the two bedrooms have a centrally sited shower room. The rear bedroom has two single beds and views over the rooftops, and the front bedroom, facing the sea, has a double bed.
