We have three world class Golf course within a 15min drive of the apartment, including the 2011 British Golf Open course at Royal St Georges.
There is also great sea fishing right outside the door, and if you dont get a bite then the local fish and chip shop will even deliver to the beach!

The apartment is only a 10 minute walk from Deal station, with its high speed train links direct into London Kings Cross St Pancras taking only 1hr and 15 mins. Trains also run to and from Charing Cross. There is a taxi service in the station car park if you dont fancy the short walk.
By Car: Approx 1hrs drive from the M25, junction 2 (via A2) or junction 3 (via M20).
Deal is only a short drive from the Port of Dover, its Cruise Terminal, and nearby Eurotunnel Services. Its easily accessible from the Continent and perfectly located for a day trip to France. Just remember to pack your passport!
By Air: Manston Airport is a short drive away with direct flights to and from Edinburgh and Belfast City.

“Quiet, relaxing, right on the beach and great for children - ideal”
We were looking for a beach side rental within 2 hours drive from home with our 2 young children. This spot was perfect, we have never been to Deal before and were really taken with the quaint row of coloured houses along the beach side, the castles and the promenade. The apartment was great, spacious, superbly clean and had everything we needed, it had a calm and relaxing feel about it, simply lovely. We all had a ball and will definitely come back.

We like Deal very much - so nice to be able to stroll into town and to browse the many small traditional shops. The town is also excellently served with fresh food stores (magnificent fresh fish) and restaurants - we're returning in November by which time we may have walked off the effects of the medium (not the mega) breakfast from the restaurant on the pier.
All in all we had a most enjoyable week and would again like to record our thanks to Molly and Angus for their warm welcome and for providing such a comfortable place to stay and relax.

“Cracking holiday let”
This is definitely one of the nicest holiday lets that I have stayed in. A beautiful big apartment, lovely furnishings, spotlessly clean and everything and anything that you could want - even for children and babies. Always worth mentioning that the beds are super comfortable. Molly was extremely helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to go back for a longer stay!

“Home away from home!”
Molly has thought of everything! We chose a bitter weekend to stay at 49 The Marina so to arrive to a warm and cosy flat was very welcome. As was the bottle of wine and chocolates! The flat is well kitted out for the children, toys, games and cbeebies! And enough space for my 2 year old to run around as being outside for long wasn't an option! We will definitely return, hopefully in warmer climates with friends and family.

The apartment was beautiful, enormous bedrooms with super comfortable beds, lovely furnishings, and the apartment was cosy and warm even in snowy January. We loved all the little touches for the grown ups (wine, chocolate) and little ones (steriliser, baby monitor etc). The owners were a pleasure to deal with and were really keen to make our stay special. The location was great and really practical for kids- just across the road from the beach and easily walkable to the High Street which has lots of interesting shops. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Deal.

“fabulous place to stay”
the apartment was beautiful presented + spotlessly clean. the showers were powerful +the kitchen had every mod con.It was child friendly, even some toys and dvds available. when we arrived the place was warm (the heating had been put on for us! ) + a bottle of wine + box of chocolates greeted us,a lovely gesture.beautiful bed linen + towels, really comfortable beds.All communication with + meeting the owner was extremely pleasant.We were all on a training course +had a hectic schedule.The apartment was on the seafront + a ten to minute walk into the town hall, 5 min car drive, so convenient. I HIGHLY recommend this lovely apartment as a place to stay if you go to Deal.
I've been to Deal a few times before and always found it a charming and enjoyable spot and this time was no exception except that I can honestly say that once you've stayed at 49 the Marina, you won't want to stay anywhere else. We arrived to wine and chocolates which was a thoughtful touch.The 3 bedrooms are all large and airy with original fittings (fireplaces and mantelpieces) and decorated to a very high standard as are the communal areas. I went initially with my partner and we were joined later by 3 of my oldest friends for a few nights. We never had the feeling that we were living on top of one another and enjoyed the roomy living space and kitchen. The weather was even good enough to breakfast in the back garden on a couple of occasions (bearing in mind it was the end of October). Also having 3 bathrooms is a real asset when you are part of a largish group.
We visited a lot (and I do mean a lot) of pubs in Deal and managed to see about four live concerts in various locations. Deal does seem to have quite a healthy live-music scene. One pub not to be missed is The Just reproach, but be warned, turn off your mobile phone before entering. This is Deal's micro-pub and is as basic as you could want; no music or games machines and no bar. The local real ale and cider is brought to your table from the taproom. Conversation with one's fellows is all the entertainment you'll need.
Molly and Angus are two of the most thoughtful hosts I've encountered and the apartment is everything you could wish for in a holiday home. I look forward to the day I can return and enjoy their hospitality (next year, with luck).

“Absolutely fantastic stay”
We had an absolutely fantastic stay. The accommodation is beautifully maintained throughout, lovely and clean and very spacious. The beds were really comfortable and it was so quiet there. All the bedrooms had good storage so we were able to unpack our bags properly. There was an excellent book of recommended things to do and places to go and there really is a huge amount to see (kids are 3 and 5) and do (Dover, Walmer and Deal castles were a highlight). The owner even listed the kids playgrounds which is a touch that makes life so much easier! I would definitely love to go back and would recommend to anyone.

“Highly recommended!”
We rented this flat to attend a family wedding, and could not have been happier. Everything was extremely clean and up to date. There were features that were extremely useful, such as a washing machine, wi-fi, boardgames, and movies. Two en-suite bedrooms allowed for privacy. The flat is across the street from a pebble beach. Free parking is available on the street out front, and was readily available. The small patio area was quite tasteful. The kitchen was large, bright and modern.
I've rented many holiday accommodations over the years, and I am happy to say that this was probably the nicest. No corners were cut, as is too often the case with owners who are looking to maximize profit at the expense of comfort. Everything was clean, modern, and bright. It felt like a welcoming rental, and not like we were invading somebody's private space.
While this was my first time staying at a pebble beach, I was happy that our children did not have sand all over them after playing on the beach. I suspect that this helps keep the flat clean, which is often a struggle for locations on a beach.
The town of Deal itself was absolutely charming. Welcoming to tourists, but not at all pretentious. The flat is a ten to fifteen minute walk from the centre. The walk was very enjoyable, since there is a concrete walking path right along the beach. We enjoyed exploring Kent, and would gladly return.
As much as I hate the idea of this secret getting out, I would be doing others a disservice if I did not tell them how lovely this place is.

49 The Marina was a comfortable haven for our family while the builders did their work at an inhospitable time of year - keeping the house warm, snug and clean while the builders were knocking through two rooms and carting the resulting debris outside would have been impossible. So we hunkered down in the comfortable surroundings of the apartment while they did all the hard work. We found the apartment to be a home from home, it was warm, comfortable, stylish and had all mod cons you'd expect - wi-fi, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, flat screen TV and more. The bedrooms were all reallly well-proportioned - very spacious even with the travel cot in one of them - and I loved the ensuites to two of the bedrooms. The beds were extremely comfortable. We slept in one of the front bedrooms and, it being January, while a gale battered the beach we were lulled to sleep by the boom of the waves on the shore. The location was great too - still within a short walk of the town centre, and importantly for us, my work, the station for my husband's commute and our children's school and nursery. Parking on the sea front was a doddle too. If we have more building work done, I will definitely be in touch - leaving the apartment to return to our dusty home was not easy!

“couldn't want a better place to relax and unwind in luxury right by the sea”
The flat is kept to a really high standard and you feel like you are staying somewhere special. Being so close to the beach makes it easy to pop out for a swim without having to pack a bag for the day, because if you want anything, you just wander back to the flat. So convenient. At the same time in 5 mins your in the high street if you want good restaurants, pubs and boutique shops. Its the perfect location.
