Dine indoors or out on the shady covered patio. Two further outdoor seating areas give you a choice of sunbathing spot, depending on prevailing breezes.
Up on the mezzanine is another seating area with futons which could double as sleeping accommodation for up to 3 .extra guests. A balcony off this room overlooks the sea. A solar panel heats the water for kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room.

The Long Island region
Long Island is about 50 minutes flight south east of Nassau. There is at least one flight per day. It is an unspoiled island with many interesting and beautiful natural features. Pick almost any of the stunning beaches to visit and the chances are that you will not find anyone else there.
The world's deepest "blue hole" is found a few miles south of Deadmans Cay. The Tropic of cancer passes through Long Island and so tropical weather conditions prevail. Temperatures are in the 70's or 80's most days falling at night in Winter tothe 60's. Air conditioning is installed but is rarely needed.
The island is 80 miles long and about 4000 people live there. They are the friendliest folk in the Bahamas ad always ready for a chat or to help visitors.
Deadman's Cay area
Salt Pond hosts an annual Regatta where working sailing sloops, locally-built, compete with boats from other islands. It is an extremely popular event.
An excellent museum at Deadmans Cay provides information and exhibits of local history, crafts such as basket weaving. boat building, etc. You can go fishing, sailing, skin diving or scuba diving with local guides.
Restaurants serve local specialities such as fish, crayfish, conch and native mutton, to a very high standard, all delightfully seasoned with home grown herbs, limes and peppers. Long Island is a church-going community so on Sunday you have a choice of many church services, mainly Anglican and Catholic in interesting old churches the length of the island.
Eco- tourism abounds here. Search The Bush for wild orchids. Find weird and wonderful life on the reefs. Enjoy 365 different glorious sunsets a year.
