The West Country / Devon region
Devon and the West Country are one of England's best locations. With coastlines on the north and south of the county with rolling hills and dramatic moorland in the centre, Devon is a unique holiday destination. A popular holiday spot for the British you can expect better weather and warmer seas.
Shop in the historical city of Exeter with its Roman heritage or visit Dartmoor to see the countryside and villages.
The Dawlish / Dawlish Warren area
Dawlish warren is resort town associated with the Warren Beach. No need to travel to find a beach with safe, soft sand and a Blue Flag award for cleanliness, just take a 5 -10 minute walk from the entrance of the Park and you're there. We have two and a half miles of it. Sunbathe or swim in summer.
The Warren beach has two quite different personalities. At the entrance to the beach there is a fun park, a clothes shop, a fish and chip shop, amusements and even a pub with good food. Walk along the beach a little distance towards the eastern end of the Warren and you find yourself in a secluded nature reserve! (As featured in Spring Watch on the BBC). Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round (in a restricted area in the summer) so they can enjoy themselves too. Life Guards are on duty in the summer months.
Easy access by Brunel's famous trainline made this area popular since the 1800s.
