"Great little cottage in sunny cornwall, close to beaches"
A beautiful cottage presented in a truly modern and high class way. Nesteld in the countryside in a lovely quiet setting but still close to main A30 and lovely local beaches and tourist attractions such as Polzeath beach (great for surfing and family days in the sand and rock pools), Boscastle, Tintagel, and Padstow amongst many others. The cream tea was a lovely touch and beautifully baked scones. Everything had been thought of and the cottage was so comfortable, lovely beds and great shower! (its the little things that make the difference!) we will definitely be staying again!

"A nice break in Cornwall"
The cottage was easy to find, in a good location, well-presented/equipped and ideal for the four of us (2 adults & 2 children - 5 & 2 yrs old). It was nice to find scones and clotted cream awaiting us, along with milk in the fridge allowing an essential cup of tea to be brewed on arrival. Location wise, it was within good reach for all our planned excursions and over the course of a week visits included Plymouth, Newquay Zoo, St Austell, Tintagel, Boscastle, Port Isaac, Wadebridge, Padstow (via the Camel Trail), Truro & Crealys (ideal for our young children). We didn't do much in the way of beach visits as the weather was a bit uncertain but the highlight for us and the kids was the Camel Trail (on hired bikes) from Wadebridge to Padstow. I'd have no hesitation in booking this cottage again or recommending it to friends.

"Perfect for us"
We had a fantastic week in Cornwall and Woodlands proved to be everything we needed. Myself and my husband travelled with our 4 1/2 year old son. Although compact the cottage feels light and airy and certainly not too small. Whenever we use private UK properties I always take my own washing up bowl, baking sheets etc., through unpleasant experiences in the past! I needn't have bothered. Everything was lovely and clean and the cottage had everything we needed. We were on a budget for the week having already had a holiday in the sun earlier in the year. Every day we took a picnic out for lunch, and cooked our evening meal at the cottage. Although none of it was fine dining, it was very easy to do. The thing that I first noticed was how clean everywhere was. No dusty corners or smeared windows. The furnishings and equipment were of a very good quality for a holiday home. The area was very peaceful with no disturbances at all. Also, the owner was very patient with my constant questioning before I actually booked and was very quick to reply. If there was a negative, we could have done with an area for playing in the evenings. The tennis court is great, but was very often in use. That said, we enjoyed the holiday in Woodlands so much that we are already debating which week to book next year! Highly recommended.
