BUNKERS HILL HOUSE - LUXURY B&B IN A BEAUTIFUL PART OF RURAL ENGLAND - a modern architect designed Georgian style family home tucked away in the peaceful village of Badby is located in a superb part of Northamptonshire with countryside that is as good if not better than the Cotswolds. The house backs onto woods and meadows, famous for their bluebells. The location next to a footpath which leads to both the ancient Knightley and Nene Ways, makes us an ideal base for walking holidays or just relaxing in the gorgeous countryside.
Bunkers Hill House combines classical architectural features with modern elegance to provide luxurious and comfortable accommodation with the additional facility of a spa with indoor heated pool, available for guests' use at an extra charge. The wrought iron staircase, classical columns by the pool room and brass chandeliers are just some of the quirky remnants salvaged from a local Georgian manor house which was destroyed by fire.
On arrival, you will be warmly greeted with traditional afternoon tea and Brigit's famous cake in the Chinese style drawing room. The guest rooms are light and spacious each with a seating area with flat screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities; New pocket sprung mattresses on beds with Eygptian cotton bedlinen, fluffy towels and dressing gowns all add to your comfort . Brigit's hedgerow fruit gin is a little extra for a nightcap. The upstairs Rose Room has been furnished to reflect the Georgian era, with an opulent yet modern bathroom. The ground floor Bluebell Room has recently been converted into a disabled friendly bedroom with a stylish walk-in ensuite shower room. Bluebell is adjacent to a lounge with kitchenette which is available for guests' use.
The house is eco-friendly and we generate our own power, and use local and home grown produce where possible.
