Just bring your clothes and a few empty suitcases to take home all your shopping bought at the theme parks or the fantastic array of designer and factory outlets on your doorstep! The Florida / Orlando Disney Area

If there is one single feature that tempts children and adults alike to Florida, it is the astounding quality and sheer number of its theme parks. Once these were all provided by Disney, but now three main players compete for the tourist dollar and the competition can only be good for us!

Disney has Walt Disney World, comprising Magic Kingdom, MGM Studios and EPCOT. Separate to WDW are Animal Kingdom, plus the two themed water parks of Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.
Universal Studios (you guessed it) operates Universal Studios and the Islands of Adventure.
Anheuser-Busch (the brewery) gives us Seaworld (with Discovery Cove) and Busch Gardens.
Disney is the biggest, but the others are catching up in terms of what they provide with both Universal and Anheuser-Busch possibly having the edge in white-knuckle thrill rides - at least in terms of numbers. Disney and Universal are the best examples of theming (a joy in itself) and as for "magic" and make-believe, these two also are vying for pole position.
The beautiful beaches of the Gulf Coast are an hours drive, and the Atlantic Coast with Kennedy Space Centre only 90 minutes.
There are several excellent golf courses close by.
About 30 minutes drive there are fews outlets

Davenport / Calabay Parc area

Calabay Parc is a luxury development off Highway 27, only ten to fifteen minutes from Walt Disney World, and is one of the most newest developments in Davenport.

It is situated in a very peaceful, partially wooded, area between the 192 West and Junction 55 of Interstate Highway 4, (I4), and only a 30 minute drive from Orlando International Airport. It is an ideal base for all major attractions and destinations further afield. Easy access is available to all the major Theme Parks including Disney World (10 - 15 mins), Sea World (25 mins) and Universal Orlando (30 mins), as well as over 30 nearby golf courses, including the Championship standard Greg Norman designed Champions Gate. It also offers convenient access to the more relaxing destinations of the Kennedy Space Centre and beaches on both East and West coasts.

Publix supermarkets can be found at Champions Gate and at the entrance to Highlands Reserve. Wal-Mart has a very large Superstore about 10 miles South on the US27 at the entrance for Southern Dunes.
There is a huge selection of restaurants and shops on the 192, you can get there by taking a right out of Calabay Parc, making a left at the first gap and going North a couple of miles until you see the sign for the 192. Take a right turn there and make your choice. There are very convenient petrol (gas) stations on the US27 shortly before the 192 turn and opposite Walgreens on the turn to the CR54.

Calabay Parc provides an ideal relaxing retreat from the frantic pace of Theme Park life, but at the same time is never very far from the many attractions Central Florida has to offer.

A recreation area is planned for completion in December 2003 to include tennis and basketball courts, a tot lot, a pavilion and a nature reserve with walking trails.

For the quickest and easiest route to the theme parks; from Calabay Parc, turn right, follow the road a couple of miles and take the left hand lane. Make the left turn at Walgreens (24 hour Chemist) on to the CR54. Go down the CR54 about 2 miles until you get to the left turn to Champions Gate. Take this turn and go through Champions Gate and under the large bridge, take the left hand lane. Immediately after the bridge turn to your left on to the I4 slip road and proceed up and on to the I4. You then continue a short distance to the turn off for Disney and follow the signs. A few junctions further for Sea World and up to junction 75 for Universal Studios.

How to get there

The villa is easy to get to from Orlando international using Interstate 4 and US27.

South west facing , the double patio doors give views over to woodlands and lead out to the fully screened 26ft x 15ft curved heatable pool. the pool has the added luxury of a large spa to aid relaxation after a busy day at the theme park. We have provided fibre optic lighting to make those evening swims extra special and create a magical ambience after dark. the extended pool deck has the benefit of the sun for most hours of the day and has luxury padded chairs and loungers. with beautiful views across to woodlands, Disney and numerous other attractions nearby, this peaceful location is perfect for unwinding after a day at the parks.
