About the home

This villa home is ideally situated for your holiday extravaganza in central Florida. The villa will make an ideal homebase for your holiday to the land of 'Mickey Mouse'. After a long day of playing at the parks, or a busy day shopping, you will find the south facing pool a welcome relaxation in the privacy of your own villa.

In August 2009 we replaced all of the carpet throughout the home and this is shown in some of the updated pictures. We have also converted the garage into a games room, and currently we have a table tennis table and darts board. We now have 'Internet' access in the villa.

The Florida / Orlando Disney Area region

What can I say about Florida and especially the Orlando area - it's fantastic. In fact we loved it so much, we bought a second home here!

Our Florida Holiday Villa is situated on the Manors South at Westridge just 30/40 minutes drive from Orlando International Airport and 15 minutes from Disney World.

Also found just an hours drive away are the beautiful beaches of the East and West coasts.

The Davenport / The Manors South at Westridge area

The Manors South at Westridge is part of an attractive gated community. Their are two neighborhoods included in the community at Westridge, the south and the north. Our villa is located on the quieter southern one. The northern community houses the clubhouse (wireless internet available), small gym and large swimming pool. The clubhouse is only a few minutes walk from our villa.

There are many shopping centres and places to eat just minutes away on highway 192 and if golf is your passion, you are spoilt for choice with many golf courses located locally. The closest one is the 'Highlands Reserve', www.highlandsreserve-golf.com.

We have used several airlines to travel to Orlando. The direct flights are usually best and Virgin offer daily flights from Manchester or London Gatwick to Orlando International - which is about a 35 minute drive to the villa.

My brother has flown a charter flight with Monarch Airlines from London Gatwick (they also fly direct from Manchester) and Newcastle , and this was direct from Gatwick to Sanford Airport. However Sanford Airport is north of Orlando and the drive to the villa is about 1hour and ten minutes.
