Located in the heart of the Disney Parks area, Bahama Bay is only 6 miles from most of the parks - about 20 minutes drive. The apartment has a lovely open plan kitchen, fully stocked with all the equipment you will need. The rooms are all large and the air conditioning is 'luxury' on a hot summer's day. There are also ceiling fans in all the rooms. There is colour TV with satellite channels, a CD player, a DVD player and internet connection available from the reception area.
There is also a games room, PS2 players, air hockey and large screen TV available above the general reception are - a lot of great things to see and do on holiday.

The Florida / Orlando Disney Area
Florida is known as the Sunshine State for obvious reasons. It gets very warm in the summer months, and is also warm and pleasant during the winter months. If you do not like a climate that is too warm, think about going from September to May. The weather will still be very nice, but not over hot.
Davenport / Bahama Bay Resort area
Conveniently, Bahama Bay Resort is just 10 minutes from the Walt Disney World Resort, 20 minutes from Sea World, 30 minutes from Universal Studios Orlando and only 45 minutes from downtown Orlando and the Orlando International Airport. Just how close are we to some of the fantastic attractions? Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park – 3.5 miles World of Orchids – 4 miles Disney’s Blizzard Beach – 4 miles Disney-MGM Studios Theme Park – 5 miles Magic Kingdom Theme Park – 5.5 miles Epcot Centre – 6 miles The Millennium Theatre – 8.5 miles Medieval Times – 11.5 miles Orlando – 27 mile Discount tickets to the parks are available from the clubhouse reception. These offer good value especially for the dinner shows. Swim with the Dolphins excursions with a local company can also be arranged.
All attractions and notable areas of Central Florida are accessible by excellent roads from Bahama Bay Resort.
There are championship gold courses (as regularly played by Tiger Woods) within 10-15 minutes drive, as well as supermarkets (Target and Walmart) whose range of goods and fantastic prices will amaze you.
There are lots of eating places within a short drive. These include Waffle House, Shoneys, Dennys, Sizzler, Bennigan's, TGI Fridays, Outback, Chinese buffets and many, many more.

Airport:
Orlando International: 25 km
Fly to either Orlando International or Sanford International airports.
From either Orlando international or Sanford International airports, take I4 West, then 192 west, and then Highway 27 South. Located just off of US-27 near the intersection of US-192 (Irlo Bronson HWY) on the east side down Florence Villa Grove Road, Bahama Bay Resort is located directly on the shores of beautiful Lake Davenport in a peaceful, natural setting, in the heart of Central Florida, only ten minutes from Disney World.
Car hire is available from either of these airports. there are lots of choices and we would recommend 'Dollar' although I'm sure most of the others are also OK.

Further details indoors: The Master Bedroom is very spacious with a queen size bed, lots of wardrobe/hanging space, large double chest of drawer, bedside cabinets / lamps and a second TV mounted on the wall. A fold-away crib can be found in the wardrobe. Patio doors lead to a small area, again screened against mosquitoes. The en-suite bathroom has a bath with electric shower, large basin and WC. Switch for the extractor fan and a small linen/towel cupboard which houses a hair-dryer.
The Second Double Bedroom boasts a king size bed, double wardrobe, large chest of drawers, bedside cabinet and lamps and a wall mounted mirror.
The Third Bedroom has twin beds, double wardrobe (high chair stored inside), large chest of drawers, bedside cabinet & lamp, and a wall mounted mirror.
A Separate Bathroom is located just outside the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms. It has a washbasin unit, WC and large walk-in shower. There is also a switch for the extractor fan.
Both bathrooms are fitted with handrails around the toilet and shower for those who require them.
Further details outdoors: The Bahama Bay resort is based on a Caribbean theme. All the apartments are either ground, first or second floor, but we prefer the ground floor. This saves lifting luggage and kids buggies etc. up and down. Our apartment is on the ground floor.
Conditions
A £100 deposit is required per booking, refundable up to 13 weeks in advance of departure. Full settlement of the balance must be received by the owners 6 weeks prior to departure.
On receipt of all monies paid, details of resort directions, key collection arrangements and other information will be provided.
