This modern, spacious ground floor apartment is situated in an elevated position on the outskirts of Datca within walking distance of the sea, local shops for everyday provisions and restaurants.
The attractive garden apartment has its own private entrance and is very comfortably furnished and fully equipped for a relaxing holiday. The comfortable open plan living room is fully furnished and includes TV/DVD player and sofa beds. Patio doors lead to the terrace and lawned garden with ornamental pond and sea view. The modern fitted kitchen/dining area is fully equipped including dishwasher. The fully tiled modern bathroom comprises bath and shower, wash hand basin in vanity unit, wc and washing machine. The spacious bedroom has twin beds and space for a foldaway bed if required.
Although the apartment is on the ground floor we regret that it is unsuitable for disabled guests as there are stairs leading to the front door.

Datca is a small fishing town located at the most south westerly point of Turkey on the Peninsula, where the Aegean Sea meets the Mediterranean and the climate is like no other. Where else in Turkey does the sun shine for 300 days out of 365?
Situated between the well-known holiday centres Marmaris, Bodrum and the Greek islands of Rhodes and Kos, the Peninsula has retained its own charmingly original characteristics.
76 kilometres by road from Marmaris, Datca, because of its mild pleasing climate, is well suited for long term holiday stays and is also fairly mild in the winter. Normal summer temperatures range from around 32 degrees to 35 degrees with cooling sea breezes and almost zero humidity. In fact it is well known that the high oxygen content in the air in Datca eases those who suffer from asthmatic and heart problems.

One of the many interesting places to visit whilst in Datca is the village of Kizlan and its windmills, which have become a symbol for Datca. There is also the Olive Farm where you can see the olive oil being pressed. There is also a shop there where you may purchase a variety of edibles and toiletries made from olive oil.
The mosque in Hizirsah village was inherited from the Seljukides period. It has been restored and is well worth seeing.
The district of Eski Datca (old Datca) is very picturesque with its beautiful old stone houses, cobbled roads and holiday and permanent residences of many Europeans.
From Datca, 29 km away by boat or car, you will find the ancient city of ‘new’ Knidos. Some of those who lived and worked at Knidos are the famous mathematician and philosopher Eudox, the sculptor Praxiteles and the architect Socrates, the designer of one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
Jasmine, melissa, hibiscus, bougainvillea and oleander are amongst the prettiest Mediterranean flowers that can be found in and around Datca and in April the wild orchids, and particular to Datca alone, the lovely marguerite daisies grow profusely everywhere. In December the wild anemones make their appearance on the hillsides in shades of pink to purple. Thyme and rosemary are just two of the many herbs found growing wild.
Datca boasts a very good weekly market, offering delicious fruits and vegetables, leather goods, souvenirs, clothing, footwear and an excellent selection of curtain fabrics.
In the evenings, Datca’s picturesque marina is a hive of activity when the Sunsail yachts and the privately owned ones sail in to tie up and anchor for a night on the town! There are many harbourside bars and restaurants to choose from, with a variety of fresh fish and other local delicacies to tempt the hungry travellers.
Gulets and yachts sail the azure blue seas from April to October and there is no shortage of local boats offering Day Trips to local picturesque bays with crystal clear waters for swimming. The local beaches and small bays surrounding Datca offer good swimming and snorkelling and there are opportunities for surfing at the local Surf Club.
Those who enjoy exploring and hiking will be surprised by the varied natural beauties and richness of the undiscovered places of the Datca Peninsula.
There are two ferry boat services to Bodrum daily and 3 times a week there are trips by sea bus to the nearby Greek Islands of Symi and Rhodes. From Datca there are direct coach services to Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir and several times a day there is a service to Marmaris thus connecting Datca to the major cities.

Dalaman Airport – You can fly directly and cheaply to DALAMAN airport from most UK or European Airports with Charter or Budget airlines. (Look on internet – cheapflights.co.uk; flythomascook.com; airflightsdirect.co.uk; moneysupermarket.com) There are daily flights from İstanbul too. The owners can offer a private taxi pick up service from Dalaman to Yakamoz for 80GBP. Alternative ways to travel are – - Taxi to Dalaman bus station and pick up local bus to Marmaris bus station then connect with the minibus to Datca. - Havas bus service which runs at certain times of the day direct to Marmaris depending on month/season. - Private taxis outside the airport. BODRUM Aırport also has daily charter flights from UK, from here a taxi to the port then 2 hour ferry to Datca.

Further details indoors: The apartment is ideal for families or couples. All windows are PVC double glazed and have tip/tilt opening option, mosquito nets and attractive wrought-iron work. Most of the furniture is new and there is plenty of storage space.
Further details outdoors: Yakamoz Apartment is in an attractive garden with a sea view from the patio area and is only a 15 minute walking distance to the seashore and the local hotels. A leisurely walk into Datca town takes about thirty minutes along the lit and tree lined promenade with the azure sea on one side and family hotels and bars dotted alongside. In the opposite direction there are lovely walks along the unspoilt coastline and countryside. A regular local mini-bus is available for trips into Datca and to the large Migros supermarket. There is no shortage of beaches around, sandy or pebbly, and swimming is safe everywhere. For the price of a soft drink, or a small fee, the hotels on the seafront allow the use of their swimming pools and facilities. Datca also boasts an open-air amphitheatre with varied entertainment programmes shown throughout the summer months.

The owners live in Datca (Scottish/Turkish) and are available for any assistance required. The garden is shared with the owners. Prices include towels, beach towels, supply of local natural olive oil soap, linen and cleaning once a week. A welcome pack is provided on arrival.
Conditions
Security bond of 100 GBP required before keys are handed over. This is fully refundable (as appropriate) after final inspection and return of keys. Minimum of 1 week rentals. Smoking permitted on patio and in garden only.
