Quay Cottage is a delightful, recently refurbished holiday home in Kingswear offering stunning views over the old steam railway, the beautiful River Dart and the historic port of Dartmouth beyond. Kingswear is home to some lovely old pubs serving real ale and traditional food, a short ferry journey across the river takes you to Dartmouth with it's wonderful mix of shops, art galleries, cafes, restaurants and more! Ideal for walkers who want to enjoy the delights of the South Coast or just take a gentle stroll along the beautiful banks of the River Dart.

Living/Dining/Kitchen
The living room/dinning room is open plan to the kitchen. All have recently been refurbished with a lovely nautical feel. The property over looks the River Dart and historic Britannia Royal Naval College. There is a dining table for two and the kitchen benefits from a cooker, microwave and washing machine.

Sleeping
The double bedroom offers outstanding views over the beautiful River Dart across to Dartmouth. It has a king size double bed, wardrobe and dressing table.

Bathroom
The bathroom features a white WC and hand basin and has a walk-in shower cubicle.

Parking
A car parking pass is provided for your use at the Dart Haven Marina. Parking is for one car only. Your car registration number must be provided at the time of booking.

The West Country / Devon region

Devon is a popular holiday destination in South west England. The scenery and climate have made the area a favoured destination for the past 250 years. Over that time much has changed, yet much of the character and many of the local traditions have remained.

The coast and countryside are still extraordinarily beautiful, which is why more than two thirds of South Devon is carefully protected as a national asset, either in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty or as part of the Dartmoor National Park.

The Dartmouth / Kingswear area

Kingswear is a beautiful Devon village nestled on the banks of the River Dart in the South Hams. The pretty houses look directly across the river towards Dartmouth. There is plenty to do and see including, walking the woodland trails at Hoodown or a river trip aboard the Ferry that journeys to Dartmouth.

Dartmouth is characterised by its narrow lanes, stairways and corridors and plenty of medieval and Elizabethan features. It is a beautiful town steeped in history with many of the buildings dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries. The oldest building in Dartmouth is the Cherub Public House which dates back as far as 1380!

The Britannia Royal Naval College famous for training the Royal Navy's Officers sits majestically overlooking the town and down the River Dart back over towards Kingswear and the Dartmouth Castle and out to sea. The Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway trains run regularly offering a traditional and unique blast from the past.

By Road
From the M5 motorway you're in South Devon as soon as you cross the Exe Esturay when the road then becomes the A38 dual carriageway. From here, you can follow the road through to Newton Abbot, Paignton, Totnes and finally Dartmouth or you can come off the A38 on the Buckafastleigh slip road where Totnes and Dartmouth are clearly signposted. From Dartmouth take the Lower Ferry over to Kingswear. The property can be found approximately 50 metres on the right as you proceed up the hill away from the Ferry. The car park is found a further 50 metres on the left hand side at the Dart Haven Marina entrance.
