Home description
Kiln House, at The Pottery is an entirely new 3 storey terraced town house complemented by a co-ordinated range of unashamedly contemporary fixtures and fittings with 3 very spacious bedrooms, each one with en-suite.
The new house forms a boundary with unspoilt National Trust woodland, offering views over Warfleet Creek and the Dart Estuary enjoying peace and quiet in a secluded area of Darmouth, away from the crowds, only 5 minutes walk from Dartmouth Castle and the South West Coastal Path and yet only 10 minutes level walk to Dartmouth town centre. Dartmouth itself is an attractive and stimulating lively year round place with excellent local restaurants such as The Carved Angel under TV chef John Burton Race, centuries-old pubs, bistros and cafes to enjoy. A local steam railway puffs from Kingswear to Paignton and back and the local market offers everything from fudge to locally made cheese. It is host to many events such as Dartmouth's Musical festival and Regatta week.

The West Country / Devon region
Devon - Unspoilt Beauty and Vibrant History
If something is less energetic is on the agenda, there is plenty to occupy you away from the granite tors and majestic moors. Dartmouth and Plymouth have a strong maritime history, and you can discover more about the part they played in lunching the New World discoveries and defeting the Spanish Armada, whilst Buckland Abbey is home to the famous Drake's Drum.
The region is studded with many stately homes, historic houses and splendid castles and cathedrals, where you can soak up the traditions and stories from long ago. The 850 year old Exeter Cathedral is a superb architectural masterpiece. Totnes Castle has one of the best surviving examples of a Normal motte and bailey and, as the romantic ruins of Okehampton Castle, you can walk in the footsteps of medieval princes.
For family days out, the region has no shortage of sttractions: the National marine Aquarium in Plymouth, Dartington Crystal, a trip to Lundy Island, the cobbled streets of Clovelly, Kents Cavern, farms and wildlife parks, railways and, of course, a good old-fahioned day on the beach.
The cost of North-West Devon offers some of the best locations for water sports anywhere in the UK. Both its coasts have excellent year-round surf and, whether you are trying out your skills for the first time or watching the children refining their technique, there is something for everyone, of every level.
Famed for the rolling moorland that covers much of the country, Devon is a great base for walkers, Dartmoor, to the south, is dotted with picture-perfect villages whilst Exmoor, to the north, finds the coastline more rugged and the moorland more wild in its beauty. There are footpaths aplenty throughout the county, giving you the opportunity to take in all the exercise you want - be it a short ramble or a full day's hike along part of the Two Moors Way, a 100-mile long path that links the two moors.
Dartmouth / Warfleet area
The main town is approximately ¾ mile away; a level riverside walk leads to the bustling heart of Dartmouth with its many bistros, restaurants, shops, and exclusive boutiques and galleries, as well as independent shops. River cruises can be taken from the quay, or alternatively it is very relaxing to just sit and watch the yachts sail up the Dart estuary. On the other side of the river at Kingwear, the steam train puffs its way along the river bank, and the small car ferry which crosses the Dart, makes it easy to travel to Brixham and Torbay.Dartmouth has an abundance of maritime history - the Naval College stands in a prominent position looking out across the River Dart. Just a short walk from the property is Dartmouth castle built in the 14th century as a defence for the towns inhabitants. For walkers, the wild expanse of Dartmoor National Park beckons, whilst the Dartmouth Golf Club, with an 18-hole championship course, 9-hole club course, health spa and swimming-pool will also prove a popular venue. A visit to Totnes also makes for a pleasant day out, with its many 16th-century and timber-framed buildings as well as interesting shops to browse around and coffee houses to enjoy some light refreshment.
