3 Glendale Cottages, Dittisham is a delightful holiday cottage tucked away in the glorious village of Dittisham, 50 yards walk from the Quay. This cottage has been completely renovated and refurbished to an extremely high contemporary spec (pictures cataloging the extensive work are in the cottage for your perusal). Retaining many of it's original features adds to the charm and cosy ambience while the rooms have plenty of natural light giving it a lovely spacious feeling and there are views of the river. Glendale is approached by a small footpath just off Manor Street and you enter the cottage through the front door which leads into an open plan lounge, kitchen/diner. The living area is to the left as you walk in and is furnished with maximum comfort in mind, two leather sofa's, slate flooring, inglenook fireplace with woodburner, LCD TV with integrated DVD, stereo with CD/DAB radio/cassette, and wonderful lighting to enhance the mood of the moment. The solid oak kitchen with granite worktops is fitted with an electric cooker, microwave, halogen hob, washing machine/tumble dryer, dishwasher, fridge with ice box and plenty of storage and equipment. Bespoke dining table and chairs uniquely incorporated at the end of the work top. Enjoy underfloor heating on the ground floor and full central heating throughout the cottage. Stairs lead up from the corner of the kitchen onto the landing, ahead is the master bedroom, with oak double bed, beside drawers and chest of drawers, with beautiful White Company bed linen and towels, with view of the river. The second bedroom has two oak 3' divans, hanging space and chest of drawers, once again with White Company bed linen. The bathroom, has a double walk in shower, bath, toilet, basin and heated towel rail, also fitted out to a very high standard with comfort and relaxation in mind. Outside of the cottage through the front door and across the little footpath is a lovely paved patio with table and chairs, a perfect suntrap for you to relax and enjoy alfresco dining. Children welcome, travel and high chair available by request.

Parking outside to unload only, there is a choice of 2 car parks approx 300m (steep Hill up to 'The Level' car park).

The West Country region

The ancient village of Dittisham surrounded by glorious countryside and the river Dart running by makes a lovely spot for a self catering holiday at any time of year. The dinghy pontoon on the Dittisham Quay will provide children with endless fun crabbing and just along the river bank is The Ham, an open green space with swings and lots of room to play and have a picnic. Right on the Dittisham quayside are the Ferry Boat Inn and the Anchorstone Cafe, both serving excellent local produce. There is a village shop and Post Office operating within the Red Lion Inn at the top of Dittisham. Dittisham is situated at the widest part of the River Dart making it an ideal place for learning to sail and many families return year after year to mess about in boats. Dittisham has two sailing schools for lessons and boat hire.
