There is an excellent golf course a few miles out of town and a short journey by car brings you to some of the famous golden sandy beaches dotted around the coastline. A boat trip up the beautiful Dart estuary takes you to the bohemian market town of Totnes. With Dartmouth being such a Mecca for sailing, there are plenty of water sport opportunities, so you can see that the problem will be finding enough time!

Accommodation: Front door to entrance hall and stairs up to first floor landing. Cloakroom, with WC and hand basin. Elegant living room, laid with warm oak flooring and offering spectacular views of the river. Kitchen area fitted with stone worktops, 5 burner hob and oven under, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave and fridge/freezer. Dining area, adjacent to one of the French windows with table and chairs to seat 6. Lounge area comfortably furnished with two sofas and occasional chair, flat screen TV with DVD and Freeview. Stairs up to carpeted second floor and family bathroom, fully tiled and lavishly finished, with bath (shower over) hand basin, WC, shaver point and ladder radiator. Twin bedroom with two 3ft beds, bedside cabinets with drawer storage, TV and en-suite shower room, again beautifully presented with shower cubicle, hand basin, WC, shaver point and ladder radiator. The West Country region
Few areas of the UK, or even Europe, have a lure greater than beautiful South Devon. Dramatic Dartmoor gives way to rolling hills, wooded valleys and stunning coastline that never fails to leave visitors wishing they could stay just that little bit longer. While away your days in market towns and quaint villages that retain their tradition whilst now offering fine dining and excellent shopping, or leave the townships behind and head to any one of the outstanding sandy beaches that dot the South Devon coast. It's impossible not to fall in love with lazy, relaxed South Devon and it's otherworldly pace of life.
Prawle Point is on the most southerly tip of Devon. The coastline is rugged, with magnificent cliffs and delightful coves, lending themselves to coast path walks, which are quite breathtaking. This area is quiet, unspoilt and boasts an abundance of wildlife and birds, including the rare cirl buntings which farmers and naturalists in the area are working hard to protect. The area is said to resemble the shape of a pig, hence 'The Pig's Nose Inn' and 'Piglet Stores' in the village of East Prawle. For walkers there is idyllic rambling country which can always begin or end at the Millbrook Inn, South Pool situated just off the main Kingsbridge to Dartmouth road. A walk in Pig country is guaranteed to be a most memorable and enjoyable experience! Further west along the coast is East Portlemouth, with its fine sandy beaches, overlooking the popular town and harbour of Salcombe. There is a ferry service which takes visitors from East Portlemouth to Salcombe where there are excellent shops, pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes. It is a location particularly popular with yachtsmen, writers and artists as its natural beauty combined with the excellent sailing facilities enable all those visiting to appreciate its unique situation. Along the cliffs from Bolt Head to Bolt Tail above Hope Cove, hundreds of wrecks have been charted and the area has been listed as one of outstanding natural beauty.
